  1. I think you're on to something there. That makes all sorts of sense.
  2. Looks like a fenderless, hot rod. I'd happily take it off your hands. Something like this.
  3. The Patriots have a fan base so large that if 50% of fans got mad and boycotted the games, they'd still fill the stadium twice over. If 50% of Cleveland fans boycotted, the team would not survive it. So, no, I don't believe most teams would stoop to cheating because of your very point. Money, they don't want to lose their fanbase, who pay the bills. Scandal is not a good thing unless you're Miley Cyrus.
  4. Well we all do that. We all build what we like, to please ourselves first. But that doesn't mean I don't want someone to point out something that could make it better.
  5. According to the news this morning, that is correct. All 12 balls were checked by officials 2 hours before game. They were all proper weight and pressure. Between then and kickoff, the balls lost 2lbs. It was discovered at halftime by officials. The Pats organization has a history of "lets see what we can get away with", so if something smells fishy, it probably is.
  6. Please see my signature line. I WANT to know what I could have done better. If it's a valid point, it's something to consider the next time. If it's just "I don't like the wheels", I just chalk it up to personal preference and motor on. Now if it's someone being rude or just rivet counting, I IGNORE it. I've just been through to much in my life to let stuff like that bother me. As they said in History of the World Part 1, first came the artist, then came the critic.
  7. Oscar that looks great, and you are really on the right track. The fender flares and the wheel arches though, just scream "race car". Will the GN body fit over this chassis? Or maybe do some fender surgery using the wheel arches from the GN?
  8. Well done.
  9. Same here. Hated everything I finished.
  10. Then why worry about it?
  11. Okay here's a movie scene for ya.
  12. Sand down the trouble spots, mask off and reshoot. Since it's a solid color (no metal flake) wet sand away any paint edges with a high grit before clear and you should be okay. If it looks bad after, THEN dunk it.
  13. Thanks Jon. I'm pretty pleased with how she turned out. The metal flakes really aren't that big, there is just a LOT of them.
  14. It's possible you are correct. I got my info through the folks here, in this thread. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=18730
  15. Creative expression for those into it, is as necessary as breathing.
  16. Bumping this for a friend that wanted to see it.
  17. No. But there will be. Roger, you know me by now. You guys know I'd never leave mediocre parts .......................umm...... mediocre. Frankly it's easier to fix up these parts, than to replace the whole shooting match. More soon.
  18. Ask him to try a different browser. Chrome or Firefox.
  19. Some work on the Pacer racer. I've got the late model Corvette (90's) front subframe spliced in. I'm going to use the stock parallel leafs in the back, with a Ford 9", traction bars & panhard bar. Modified parts box gas tank. Lots more frame work still to come.
  20. The AMT '73 Cougar kit has an excellent 351C.
  21. Looks great Bruce. Nice work.
  22. If anyone is curious what these two gentlemen are referring to, at the end of the Cannonball in 2011, we found out that the management on the Scale Auto forums, had removed the poll function. SA was where the Cannonball started. With no poll function there was no way to have "the race". So I decided a winner on my own and wrote a little humorous story to go with it. I posted it on the SA forums, in place of the poll. It was received rather well, and no one seemed upset. It was of course the proverbial "straw on the camels back" for me at SA forums. The Cannonball has been here ever since. We are on our eighth consecutive year and this CBP is still as popular as ever. We have the best bunch of builders, supportive and fun. We've had no drama, no hurt feelings, no rudeness. Yet. If anyone is curious about the story, shoot me a PM and I'll send you a link to it. Out of respect to MCM, I won't post a link to their competitor in this thread. Lets get back to work.
  23. Some work on the Pacer. As you can see, there's some stuff in need of fixing. A huge gap between chassis and interior cup. Here's a strange one. It's obviously meant to be driven with the left foot. Huge tranny hump. Dunno if I'm gonna fix this one or not. Removed the had tank and spare tire well. I'll also be using some Corvette suspension. More soon. ?
