It will be good to have these kits back without the "Luminators" plastic. I had the Luminators kits (since it was difficult to find the original kits at shows), and the plastic was so brittle, all my built kits shattered over time!
I built one of these as a kid. I know it was molded in opaque green, so I'm assuming it was the Duster. I'll have to buy one and built it out of sheer nostalgia.
How's the tires on these? Two piece?

She's a stunner. Tasteful and classy. She won't look dated in 20 years. I approve.

Terrific! I did a surf Lincoln as well, very different from yours.
May I ask how you did the tinting?

Here’s two quotes from different movies.
“What am I gonna do? Cliffs on both sides! I’m not gonna paddle to New Zealand!“
& “No more yanky my wanky – the Donger need food!”

That's the engine I'll be using. I mocked it up and looks like the bottom of the front cover mounts to the front cross member and there is a small tab on the rear of the trans that hooks over the trans crossmember, and that sits the trans in the right position.
Ah. I did a fair bit of lowering, It's possible I trimmed a bit off the crossmember, losing the mount point. I'll take another look at it.

A terrific kit but it seems the hemi was added as an afterthought. I couldn't figure out the mounting points for it.

I don't agree with Rusty's opinion at all. I thought it was a great portrayal of the character. Kind of returns him to the detective part of the character. And my wife is not a fan of the superhero genre and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Looking forward to more from this universe with the upcoming tv show and sequel.
I've heard far more positive reviews of the Batman than negative, from my friends that are into these films. I haven't seen it yet.
As for the build - I've just returned to night shift and will be until January. We shift every four months. As soon as I'm acclimated to the new schedule, I'll feel more like spending time at the bench. More soon.

This is a very well rendered engine IMHO. There were full size vehicles that used an SBC but in scale sometimes the engine can look a little small in the engine bay. Using this 1/24 engine fixes that problem. All the Monogram 37 Fords had this engine with various intake options.

Way to insult everyone who likes that wheel/tire set. Those would look fine on most any pro-touring car.

I haven't been to a lot of concerts. Maybe a dozen. But the best concert I've been to was back in '86. It was Ozzy's Ultimate Sin tour, at the Bayfront center in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Ozzy was terrific, his band totally on point, but what made a great show, was that Queensryche opened the show. They played for like an hour before Ozzy came on and they were astounding. It was like having two headliners for the show.
The sound and lights was perfect. Randy Castillo on drums and Jake E. Lee on guitar were total standouts with mind blowing solos.

Interesting bit of feedback about Horold Allnut Rob.
The first Batman comics I used to read had the bat sign logo on his chest as just a black bat shape on the grey of his costume.
Not sure when the bat sign on a yellow oval began to be used,
The later movie versions of Batman's costume from the Michael Keaton era onwards really started to look sinister.
Sinister is the point. It always was. The camp of the Adam West TV show or even the 70's cartoons, never reflected what the comic writers wanted the Batman to be. That was just made fun for the kids to sell toys.
As for the chest bat symbols, this timeline is pretty accurate.

The Batman movies intrigue me with all the different car designs as where would Bruce Wayne get them designed and built? You never see a team of covert designers and engineers who would be needed to make them. The only exception was one series of movies where Wayne Industries had developed a prototype military vehicle that became the Batmobile in them.
Back when I collected and read the comics, in some cases it was very much a Bruce and Alfred design/build effort. In others, there was a genius engineer named Harold Allnut, who was a hunchback, and he worked in the Batcave on all manner of little Bat-toys.

These Revell kits are kind of notorious for being a pain to build but I managed it as a teenager. All hinges worked and the rear windows folded down.
On a side note, these sort of kits are GREAT for dioramas and the like because of the doors and lids that are separate and can be used anywhere in the dio easily. I'm using the Henry J for just that purpose now.
Un-Overdoing the Batman Forever Batmobile

One other major alteration I'm kicking around, is the front ram. This batmobile always looked a bit too vulnerable in the nose area. While researching design changes for this kit I came across this image from an animated series' concept art.
One detail that has shown up many times on comic book batmobiles in the 60 years of Batman, is the front ram. As you can see this design already borrows a lot from the Batman Forever batmobile. So I'm planning to add a similarly stylized ram to the front. If I have to knock a bit off the nose to do it, I will. More soon.
