This was a quick build, is a curbside model from tamiya. the decals are from speedline decals. I blast from the past. and this video inspired me to do it.

started the bodywork and also started doing the chassie from scratch. this is a photo of the engine I want to put in this project. small but deadly. I was going for the pinto block, but instead I will use a costhworth ford twin cam with a turbo.

I had this body for a while and since the box is missing lots of parts i can't make it showroom, so the best next thing, do a scratch build a hot rod. I will be using chassie parts of the oldsbobile pro stock and for the engine, will use the original v4, but with a TURBO upgrade and nitros. let's see what comes out

I have seen many Cudas built, and always a pleasure. but this one has a "In your face" LOOK ...even it is old school, it still can wip your axx, you don't know if it is a custom show car or a weekend warrior/street racer....tHIS IS WHAT A "real" Pro Streets look like. Marcus I love you, MAN!!!!!!

you guys are killing with the paint job I know the first one look way cooler but when you see it in person, it had lots of mistakes.....and I can do lots of crazy things but the quality is not to par. I am trying to learn to paint like the folks here. You know what they say learn to walk before you run....well the same thing with me I need to learn to paint before designing. Will be doing another one soon out of an old 85 SVO MUSTANG BODY and it will have a V4 TURBO to run in the PRO IMPORT SCENE....I will be doing a cool design on it, promise

I finally finish, I learned a lot from this built and I will use that for my next mustang gtp 7-11 driven by bobby rahal in 1984. This car is one of my favorites GTP era car. It was different in so many ways. Hope one day someone can rebuilt one again because it is gone. It was hard to find info and photos for this model. Thank you for your help and comments, they help me a lot. Love racing, love building models of them and hope to continue growing in this hobbie.

After stripping off the paint, and re painting it I was happy It looks much better. less complicated but I need to start being more cleaner if I want to impove in this hobbie

With respect to the friend that is building this beast of camaro, I do not want to take attencion away from this project just wanted to show that there is still lots of trans am fans out there and we will remember those glory days with our models. The chassie is scratch built, flat bottom with tube chassie just like they did in the 90's. the engine is from a stock car and the front spoiler is from the trans am 90,s camaro. thanks from the coments and let's see this camaro get built,

tHANK YOU FOR THE COMENTS, tHEY HELPED ME GET BACK TO THE PROJECT,, I GOT AN AIR BRUSH NOW, SO I DECIDED TO STRIP THE PAINT AND START ALL OVER AGAIN WITH A BETTER DESIGN. I did a built of the same idea but using the o6 stang with parneli jones colors....so when I saw what you are doing, you got my attention. well I will be checking and waiting under the tree at the cork screw at laguna seca for a ford vs chevy race to conmemorate those good old days of trans am racing.
