  1. You say you are 40something like is a bad thing, man I just turn 40 and my creativity juices are better than ever, let's show the young bloods that they have a long way to go......that's my favorite race bike of all times keep posting
  2. yeap will chrome them and see if they look good. those are the smallest i could find in home depot.
  3. I was able to do a little this past weekend. the motor needs more work, I need to make it look smoother, the body is ready for paint and the hood will be done when the engine is final, it is going to be a project by itself just to do the hood. I don't want to just make a high coul induction I problably do something out of a japaness animation, will see.
  4. SUPERB!!!!! FROM HEAD TO TOE.
  5. CONTINUING MY LOW BUDGET PROJECT, I AM TRYING TO MAKE A PAIR OF TURBOS OUT OF SOLDER WIRE, STILL NEED TO WORK ON THEM TO MAKE THEM LOOK RIGHT. THE BODY IS CLEAN WILL BE PAINTING IT SOON SO IT CAN DRY WHILE I BUILD THIS THING. WILL USE THE FUNNYCAR TANK AS THE INTERCOOLER. AS SOON AS I GET THE TURBOS RIGHT, I WILL START TO CONECT ALL THE TUBINGS FOR THE INTAKE.
  6. Hey man thanks for the motivation but the question is still out there. is this a Drag Racing project? because all the entries I see are mussle cars ,stock I have plenty of dragsters and F/C, pro mod and pro stock kits. What are the rules? thanks again
  7. I agree, this is my second mustang body, it is a beautifull thing. The new camaro, looks hot and will be my next buy. I also he also does a good job doing parts, his scoops are asome for pro stock projects., thanks for your reply..... you need to do a custom rollcage for this slick body.
  8. were is the gas tanker that goes attatched to this? wow!!!!! wicked ride bro.....clean too, love your work
  9. Not a bad idea to include an Old School Vega Pro Stock to your collection. Can't wait when to start in my Mustang II Pro stock. "we don't need no stinking parashute"
  10. I knew I was goin to hit a nerve. It's a plastic engine I have some big block ford engine but I am saving them for other projects (Bob Gliddens'exp ford pro stock and a Fairlane pro stock) I keeping the chevy block but the top part its all custom built. Twin turbos and I will place the distributor in the front to resemble the fords engine. I know. i KNOW BUT i HAVE A LIMITED BUDGET FOR THIS HOBBIE, and I like to use what I have the best I can. I could buy one of those Gibson engines which will look great but since I am experimenting with this turbo set up for the first time I RATHER SACRIFICE THIS CHEVY ENGINE I am not a chevy hater even dow I am a ford fan
  11. AFTER LEARNING AND HAVING FUN BUILDING MY MUSTANG TRANS AM. i DECIDED TO DO A CHASSIE FOR THIS RESIN BODY I HAVE LAYING AROUND MY DESK. I WANT TO DO A PRO MOD, WITH A TWIN TURBO + NITROS BEAST. I AM USING THE REVELL PRO SPORTSMAN 57 CHEVY FOR PARTS. DON'T WORRIE CHEVY FANS, I HAVE A DUPLICATE WHICH I WILL DO LATER. SO HERE WE GO, START THE YOUR GLUES.... DECIDED TO PAINTED LIKE THE ONE ON THE TOP.
  12. Do you know the Hot Wheels Camaro trans am racer. The spoiler is from that car, It is longer but just cut the edges to match mustang wheel opening. You can also the same bottom part of the bumper of the stang, cut and flip it and you can get a good loking shin.
  13. Thank you for your observations...this was this morning at 5:00am I could not sleep so I worked on the car and took the photos and put the in the forum before the baby woked up. I will re photo tomorow outside.for building process go to the project section. Thanks again.
  14. This project was inspired on the famous 70's pernelli jones boss mustang that raced in the 70's trans am series. It is sad that trans am is dead but not in the harts of american mussle lovers. Thanks for all your help during this project. my first scratch built chassie.
  15. The body looks great....and the photos show what a great f/c it was. not to long or to short....just right to kick some
  16. UNIQUE, LOVE IT, IT IS MY FAVORITE PETTY RIDES OF ALL TIMES. BEHIND IS THE DAYTONA.
  17. TREMENDO!!!! HAVE THAT KIT AND WILL BE USING THIS PROJECT AS INSPIRATION AND REFERENCE. ITS TRUE, THE ENGINE BAY ON THIS KIT NEEDS LOTS OF DETAIL TO MAKE THEM INTERESTING TO LOOK. HAVE A QUESTION? WAS THAT NESSESARY, TO WRITE ON THE REAR TIRES, I WOULD DO THAT ON GTS CARS OR NASCARS WERE ALL THE TIRES ARE THE SAME SIZE AND CAN BE ROTATED TO ANY CORNER. I KNOW THAT IT IS TO HELP THE PIT CREW WHILE SETTING TO GET READY FOR A PIT STOP. BUT THIS PORSCHE THE REARS CAN ONLY GO ONE WAY AND THEY ARE DIFFERENT FROM THE FRONT. SORRY IF I SOUND PICKY....
  18. I have this kit and eventually one day I will do it, now, the decals for sure are tosted. Were did you get the decals to do the rebuilt, did your friend got them from a aftermarket source or he just had them from a previous kit?
  19. finally they are doing the driver to proportion, love the engine detail. I guess box stock class is stepping up keep on racing
  20. This is a pfoto of a funny car of that era, you can see that the double magneto was not incorporated yet, I think that it started in the early 90's when everyone was looking to break the 300mph record, around the time of Eddie Hill, Loved when funny cars had chrome valve covers and blowers.
  21. DID THEY USE THE DOUBLE MAGNETO IN 83? LET ME CHECK? BECAUSE MY 85 STANG CAME WITH ONE.
  22. whatzup erick. hows that built? have not forgot about our trade, i have been working two jobs and i have been getting late. and the model i have them in storage. will get them out today or tomorow, i got your address. just wanted to bust your shops, look what i saw this is a 1/32 scale, remember those kits, they had a few f/c styles. can't wait to see what you do in 1/24. Danny
  23. VERY NICE, CLEAN AND SIMPLE DETAILS TO COME ALIVE. LOVE THE INTERIOR.
