  1. Unfortunately my closest shop is over 50 miles away. And it's Hobby Lobby. I don't know if they carry them.
  2. I never thought of that. It should work. The only axels were the metals one. There was one plastic piece that was in the kit that looked like it would work. I think it was to hold the hood up. But coat hangers. Thank you.
  3. Current project. I'll have to go with the mag wheels. But I ran into a snag. The metal axels only stick out about an eight of an inch from the body. Not enough to keep the wheels on. Any suggestions would be appreciated. :-)
  4. Nice.
  5. I called SC Johnson and this is the new Future. Pledge Revive It Floor Gloss. So I went out to find it and after 7 stores .I found it at the 2nd Walmart I went to. 4 hours looking for this. They said it's the same ingredients as the original Future. Just a new name and packaging. So here is the pic. :-)
  6. OK. I'll take the Holloway House back and keep looking. Thank you all the input.
  7. Parts. Here we come. :-). I hardly ever find things like this. There is a listing for 2 boxes of models (30 maybe) but they are 200 miles from me. And $600. Congratulations on your great find.
  8. All I can find where I live is Pledge Revive which is an cleaner which contains oil. I bought Holloway House Quick Shine. It has a leveling agent in it. Will this work? And can you make that Future Glue out of it? Thank you. ?
  9. Nice color. It's going to look great when finished.
  10. Really nice.
  11. Nice. :-)
  12. Thank you Slusher. Doing better with the glue. :-)
  13. I actually owned one of these when I was younger. A 4 door though and in the dark evergreen color. It was a great looking car. I loved the taillights.
  14. Thank you. I bought it already started so I just finished it up. If it wasn't started I might have tried my hand at painting.
  15. Thank you Brian. The person who had the garage sale I bought them at must have put these in for a reason of by mistake.
  16. I just got done finishing a 1940 ford pick up and in the box were these parts. They are not in the instruction sheet and I did buy this opened and partially built. Does anyone have any idea what they are for?
  17. Real nice. Like the color a lot. :-)
  18. I bought this kit partially built. So I decided to finish it. Not too bad. Monogram 40 ford pick up from the Early Iron Series. Only thing is I missed the door window part and had already cemented the inside door panels on.
  19. The comet was my favorite. Best car? 2006 Toyota Camry. 256,000 mile on it when it got total by someone hitting me. Ran perfect. Only major repairs were 2 water pumps and one set off front brakes.
  20. You don't have to send me anything. I kind of split things up to send some to all of you. I'm sending some to Modlbldr too. You might want to ask him if he needed everything or not. I'm new here and didn't understand what to do and didn't want to make anyone mad. But I will need your address so I can send the stuff to you.

  21. Not in upstate New York State stores. I just checked 2 out and they said they stopped carrying them because of the glue. Why they couldn't just sell the kits I don't know.
  22. Do you have to thin it out a lot? It will be interesting to mix the old bottles of paint. Use them and see what they look like. :-)
  23. I'm looking into buying an air brush also. But do they work with Testors enamel paints? I purchased a cigar box full of old Testors enamel paints. Some have 20 cents printed on the caps. Don't know the colors but thought there could be some interesting ones. But don't know if the enamel would screw the air brush up. Thanks.
  24. Snake. Do you have an email address as I can't send you a message.
