  1. Who is doing chrome plating, who is dependable?
  2. ??? - I guess they were sleeping at the switch at 'Product Development', as you know, the 64 caps were quite ornate compared to the 60....
  3. Thanks for that info....however other than that, resins were never made by anyone?
  4. Did anyone ever make resin 60-61 or up to 63 Ford Falcon Dog Dish/Poverty Hubcaps???
  5. Thought I saw either here or on e-bay a resin cab & nose of a International KB series in 1/25 scale ???
  6. A late reply to my post as it just came to my attention.....Not entirely agreeing that the declining interest in the hobby was the demise of Modelhaus....If that were the case there would not have been a 2 year back log in processing orders....Also the fact that the shows I attended where they were set up there was a constant line of customers. If I were a gambling man I would bet they captured the biggest purse of any show they set up at......As I see it, it was time to retire as Don & Carol are in the same age bracket as myself....That business in my opinion grew beyond control and there's just so much they could do....a meat grinder to say the least....The development of cars is a big undertaking and trying to manage the onslaught of parts orders along with I'm assuming interruptions can really wear on you......I just think a lot of people underestimate the effort that's required....My original post was with regard to other talent picking up the ball.....on a small scale and keeping it there......3D printing...I heard someone made a rack of 58 Edsel hood ornaments something like 50 to a rack and the detail was so crisp you could actually read the 'E' in the emblem.....One thing I will admit, that that business would require talent from back in the day, just to simply understand the market....Not sure any "young blood" can learn what (speaking for myself) old farts like myself with the knowledge....Meaning you just can't teach it....Has to be second nature.....Any one feel like making some hood & fender ornaments????
  7. Despite what some feel...the 61-62 Johan kits were the high water mark in my opinion....Something about those yellow's & blue's......and the box art ! - till this day still can't get enough......
  8. Yup...Saw him at the NNL east in Wayne NJ in April, but the phone # on his website is disconnected, and cannot find an e-mail addy....
  9. Does anyone have Okey Spaulding current contact info? - Is he still in business????
  10. Agreed...Then again there's a sedan in development right now, so its worth the wait....Thanks again....
  11. Ahhh.....Not really seeing either the 4 dr Impala or this 2 dr Biscayne to be 100% exact in the roof line. I would have to have both cars in hand to make an actual determination.....Its hard from pictures...for me anyway....Thanks for your responses......
  12. Sfan Goch...Thank you so much for your detailed reply....Excellent result on your 2 dr. Mainline.....Perhaps I should have been more specific on the car I want to convert to a sedan....a 67 4 dr Impala to a Biscayne 4 dr sedan....Our common point is that of Police cars.... While most of the 67 NYS Police cruisers were Mopars, the NYS Thruway Authority had a fleet of 67 Biscayne's 4 dr, equipped with a 427, 4 speed, disc brakes, P/S delete....Knowing this first hand, by riding in one, as a gas attendant at the Hot Shop. In the trunk there were two, 5 gallon gas cans mounted, with marine type chrome vents mounted to the quarter panels on each side to vent the trunk....Anyhow the Trooper stopped at the gas pump, and I was at the right place at the right time to fill the can. He told the supervisor, he was taking me to assist a stranded motorist who had ran out of gas.... The Trooper didn't want to smell like gas...He didn't burn any rubber, but he did go through the gears....His only complaint was, the car was hard to steer.... Anyhow that was a life long experience that made quite an impression, I was then 17 years old..........As best as I can recall, 67 was the only year the Thruway Authority used a specific vehicle....By 68 they were all Plymouths.....Back to my conversion....The roof line is real close where I don't see an issue going from an Impala to a Biscayne, and looks like styrene strips will do the trick. I was just wondering if there was another option....Thank you all for your replies......
  13. Ok..Now how about the window frames & "B" pillar to convert it to a sedan......
  14. Does anyone make resin window door frames & "B" pillars to convert a hard top to a sedan?
  15. Not getting this Modelhaus thing at all....With all the talent that's out there, not understanding why by now no one has picked up the ball & ran with it? Not seeing the risk which is the major factor in any start up business..Granted it will take time to build up the product & reputation that Modelhaus had but seems like a sure thing to me......
  16. Yup...I saw his posting after I posted....Thanks for your response....
  17. Anyone doing a 67 Chevy 4 dr, (Biscayne-Impala) either in a sedan or hardtop???
