  1. Completed this 64 short box a long time ago. First time opening doors and scratch building the frame. There are many detail parts thanks to MCG, RB motion and Detail Masters. The color is Panther Pink
  2. Thanks everyone for the kind words on the truck!! The bug is coming back to build again!! Finally found a project that is starting to "talk" to me. Gotta clear the bench for this one!!
  3. Had the pleasure to meet you at the GSL one year! Your stuff has inspired me to keep this hobby alive!! This truck proves YOU are keeping this hobby alive!!! Over the top!!!
  4. I didn't worry about latex breaking down to the elements. Average piece of latex is 1/2" square for a 1/25 scale project. Wouldn't really notice it (not sure?). Photo is 4 years old
  5. Hey All Came up with a killer boot for floor shifters. Go to the local automotive or hardware store, purchase black latex gloves (thin). Cut a hole in the floor or console on your project. Cut the latex glove larger than the hole created. In the middle of the latex piece, cut a slight hole in the middle and gently push the shifter through the hole of latex piece. Pull the shifter and boot through the hole or console let the extra slack from the latex form a "boot", glue down the extra material underneath . Finish it with photo etch bracket around the shifter boot. Very cool !!!!
  6. Thanks Mr. Metallic I have every issue of the other magazine will have to check it out
  7. Gotta say thanks again to DrKelly for the purchase on the Orange Blossom Special, provided me great stuff!! Still looking for another one (spare). When I cut this one up, I need another 37 truck for the "oops" factor. Was hoping someone was casting in resin!!?? Thanks L
  8. I found AMT's 1937 "Orange Blossom Special" truck. Is that the only 1937 chevy truck out there in 1/25 scale?? Trying to duplicate a killer pro street truck!!
  9. Bill Engwer!!! Now thats what Im talking about!!! Math and I have NEVER got along!!! (2 + 2 is sometimes 4). I "wondered" if the wheel size would be only good on fronts of full size muscle car??!! If its consistent with other 19" 1/24 wheel sets you have, then,.....You sir, have saved me a mess of broken pencils figuring that out!! I am looking to build the Monogram 59 impala Skill 3 kit. Pegasus wheels "to me" are too big for the front and not big enough in the back "gotta fill that rear fender!!! Guess I will keep on looking!! Thank you for that info!!! Lorne
  10. Hello Has anyone used these? If so, what are the dimensions? Height of the wheel and tire is my concern! Are they for smaller import cars or full size American 1/24 wheels 19 inch American Racing Torq with tires Tamiya Aoshima Hasegawa
  11. That's a great idea!! Graphics are killer! Love those guys at Graveyard Cars. Pretty much the only car related show that I watch!! And I'm a Chevy Guy!!! Mark knows his Mopars!! They look like pretty approachable folks!! Thanks for sharing!!
  12. hello, very interested in the micro nitro drag lite rims!! can you or anyone send me the link to purchase these cool rims?? I do not facebook so,...hopefully there is a site?
  13. Hey mustang1989 I have been back building for about 15+ years. Built glue bombs since I was a kid. Got back into it after family thing started. I build one project every couple seasons (winter time). The 62 pro street project was shelved several times in total denial it would ever get finished (body was brutal) so it took about 4 winters to complete which was okay cause I kept changing the plan. I have about 100 kits to choose from for the next project but the next kit has to "talk" to me to really get inspired. I am always looking for kits that you don't see often. That gets the attention on the contest tables!!! "Dare to build, dare to cut up, take the risk"!! My inspiration is from builder Clay Kemp, one day I would like to have that talent. Thanks for your interest on the truck!!
  14. I had to take a second look!! thought it was a real car!! Very Cool !! Natural light lets you know if the illusion is convincing!!
  15. Oh Man! Is this "THE" Clay Kemp??!! I have been spent hours upon hours looking at photo's of your work!! I have been doing the detail thing, but not even close to your builds!!! And now your doing the brass thing??!! Absolutely incredible!!! I am truly inspired and have been challenging myself on every build because of your talent!!! Can't wait to see this next project!! You sir are by far,.... THE BEST!!!
  16. WoW!! I am crazy for detail and this is "CRAZY". Talk about keeping up with Clay Kemp!! Check out his stuff for even more inspiration!!! Great stuff dude!!!
  17. Yes Nanton has a show and so does Edmonton!! Look up Rocky Mountain Model Club. I understand that this club hosts alternate shows every year. In May of 2019 they will host in Nanton, AB!! In 2020 Edmonton!! Mostly military and aircraft but extreme quality builds. They have all classes from automotive to Sci-Fi. Check it out, see ya at the next show!!! Cheers
  18. First time using Chrome Tech wasn't too bad, they responded on my email inquiry when asked if they had received "in good order", also the plating was good! . Sent another batch to them a year later and,...... wow! they really dropped the ball !!!!! I only used half of the parts the other half looked like they were dropped in a dust bin! They did not take the time to clean of the surface (dust particles underneath the chroming)!!!! Don't want to scare you off, I'm certain they are on the up and up. But, I am a paying customer and was really disappointed. Im surprised they don't have a quality assurance and a quality control person checking their plating. Social media can kill a business if you receive poor service.
  19. Hey Golden BC! Thanks again for your interest in the truck and yes I did bring the box full of goodies for everyone and anyone who needed "stuff"!! Good Luck on your next project. One day I would like to attend the NNL West, gotta see the quality builds down south. I haven't decided on the next project "yet", tossing around a few ideas??? Hopefully see ya next time at the Nanton show!!
  20. I also looked on their site. Nothing there that you had described. Maybe discontinued??? Thanks espo!
  21. Thanks espo!! will check it out.
  22. I like the Big T's but was hoping there was a larger selection. I would assume they make the sleeve for both sizes? Daggers, diablo's are great if they came in two different sizes and they do have 23" sleeves available I seen/heard some die casts have a great selections of custom rims
  23. Hello Has Pegasus come out with more rim designs that have a smaller front rim and larger back rim? Also I noticed you can "widen" the back rim with a sleeve and add a wider tire? Any info, part numbers would be greatly appreciated. I have looked at their products, but is there more selection to offer? Thanks!!
  24. Hey Knoxville, TN Western Canada snow already!! Weather changes every 10 minutes (close to the mountains) !! Long winters mean more models on the bench!! Not sure the next project,... Thanks for checking out the truck!!
