Still holds true. I may alert other builders that it is not a dependable magazine to subscribe to. -

I guess I should have flushed $30 down the toilet instead. At least I would have known what happened to it. ? -

While I was a sophomore, a senior was driving the opposite of this ('57 chevy with the front clip of a '55 on it) at the high school I went to. He was in auto shop. Him and his Dad put it together. I also built his car first.

I had the front clip from a '57 Chevy left over from a project, and an old '55 kit, sitting not being useful when I got the idea to combine the two on a stormy night. As a tribute to Peter Boyle (Young Frankenstein) and Ernie Anderson a.k.a. Ghoulardi, (host of WJW TV 3 Fright Night in Cleveland, Ohio. Made the decals myself.)

I thought about that, but decided to keep them to be as close to the puller as I could. I had to cut 13 3/4 scale inches off the bed to maker it work on the AMT '37 Chevy Coupe chassis. I'm working on a big block chevy for the power plant. -
I had an incomplete OBS kit. Wasn't sure what to do with it, and then got the idea of turning it into a gasser. So far, so good. what do you think?

Thanks for the positive comments. If anybody is interested, I can show you what I did with the left-over parts from that build.

I built this show winner, '55- '57 Chevy in 1993 as a replica of 1:1 car from my high school days (1967). The guy who owned was a Junior in Auto shop.

It has been a while since I have been really active in the hobby. When I was last active, Chrome Tech USA was still around. Are there any plating services that does what CTU did? If not, what is the best method to rechrome parts? Thanks.

Brush stuff for details -
What bottle paint to use, now that Testors cannot be found? I am thinking about acrylics (water wash up). What do you recommend?

Under base of white Duplicolor primer, Testors Inca Gold with a clear coat as the topper.
