i made this australian motors industries rambler javelin using a jo-han 71 javelin promo body/glass/grille and a jo-han 72 javelin taillight panel/back bumper and a jo-han 73/74 javelin chassis and interior pan and a resin printed right hand drive javelin dash the rims and tires and streering wheel/column and shifter as well as grille mesh came from my parts boxes i painted the body rust-oleum 2x gloss apple red i painted the interior rust-oleum 2x flat grey primer i brush painted the black roof section apple barrel gloss black acrylic paint 1972 AMI rambler javelin.mp4

they did a performance comparison test between a aussie 72 chrysler vh valiant charger e49 hemi 6pack and a north american 71 plymouth hemi cuda and the results for aussie charger's the 0-60 the rpm the horsepower the quarter mile time all pretty much the same to the 426 hemi cudas results

thank you the aussie hemi 265 6 pack e49 was a straight 6 engine with a borg warner 4 speed manual which could make the same numbers the northamerican 426 hemi v8 could the e55 340 was not a six pack carb set up but the single carb set up

i have a small collection of johan kit boxes all but one also has the original instruction sheets with them the torino is the only one without it's instructions as i never got the original but a photo copy of it

i made this using a resin printed vh valiant charger body which part of the grille and front bumper and lower valance had shattered when removing the supports so i decided to modify it into a vj body using some headlights and a scratch made grille i used putty to fill in the missing section of the front bumper and lower front valance i also made the custom opera style side windows and added a rear window louver cover i scratch made the right hand drive valiant dash the rest of the interior came from my parts boxes the chassis exhaust tips and wheels came from my parts boxes i painted the body rust-oleum 2x gloss real orange i brush painted the interior apple barrel matte light mocha acrylic paint 1974 Chrysler VJ valiant charger rt 340.mp4

thank you crawford productions sell every on of there series on dvd i know i would love to get the box set of the ryan series and all the box sets of the homicide series and the division 4 series and the matlock police series and the cop shop series the downside is they are only able to sell them in australia and new zealand they also have a uk distributer but most likely have the same type of restrictions i have only seen clips from all these shows i do have digital mp4 copies of the classic aussie cop show bluey staring lucky grilles which ran for 36 episodes from 1975 to 1976
