  2. Cockpit build completed. Work is in progress on the front suspension and initial body paint. 20230219_103911-crop by Tomasz, on Flickr 20230219_103854 by Tomasz, on Flickr 20230219_220418 by Tomasz, on Flickr 20230222_095519 by Tomasz, on Flickr
  3. It is hard to find in Europe. I'll try on the scrap with ordinary ammonia, possibly diluting it a bit. Through water...?
  4. I am often annoyed by the double masking of car bodies. I usually mask the outside first and spray the inside with black satin (or whatever color you require). Then I take off the masks, wait a few days, mask the inside and paint the outside. I've seen a method where a guy paints all outer layers, including clear 2k. Without masking the interior. Then, also without masking, he paints the interior with acrylic paint. Finally, he removes the stains on the outside with sticks soaked in ammonia. It is worth a try? Do you have such experiences?
  5. One last look inside. Time to finish the cockpit and front suspension. 20230212_194637-crop-crop by Tomasz, on Flickr 20230212_194559-crop by Tomasz, on Flickr

  7. Sidepods ready to mount 20230208_193800-crop-tile by Tomasz, on Flickr
  8. Continuation of small elements. Ecu radiator and cockpit
  9. I don't show it because my level of modeling is high. Quite the opposite... I want to draw attention to the richness of the Top Studio set. Everything here is from them. Except for carbon decals.
  10. Continuation of work on the body. I painted everything yellow first, so that there would be no differences in shades later. Exhaust system. All Zero Paint.
  11. We have 98% of the engine. You can now mount it to the rest of the car. The rest that doesn't exist... ? 20230112_193603 by Tomasz, on Flickr 20230112_193611 by Tomasz, on Flickr 20230112_193541 by Tomasz, on Flickr 20230112_193528 by Tomasz, on Flickr 20230112_193514 by Tomasz, on Flickr 20230112_193458 by Tomasz, on Flickr
  12. The beginning of work on the body. I cut off the nose of the car and temporarily installed Top Studio frames. I think the No. 2 gap will be acceptable once the tape is removed. I will try to adjust the elements so that the gap No. 1 is as little visible as possible (there will also be a strip of decals on the edge). Otherwise, you would have to assemble the interior of the cockpit before painting the body. I made an attempt to revive the Tamiya factory structure. I used Ushi powder (upper element). I think I will use these factory structures because they look realistic. In other elements I plan to use Scale Motorsport decals. The carbon visible in the photos of the main body is plastic painted with LP satin and Mr Hobby satin varnish. After masking, the rest of the body will be painted again with ZP primer and paints.
  13. More photos of the drivetrain coming soon. Meanwhile, the first tests with the body of the car. The use of the Top Studio kit sometimes requires a deep intervention in Tamiya parts... I'm considering leaving bare factory carbon on some Tamiya components. It looks good in the photos of the eminent modeler. What do you think?
  14. For now, I gave up on resin car suspension arms from Top Studio. The steel ones from Tamiya will probably have an easier time carrying it all.
  15. Half of the hoses. Half of the cables. Half of the tubes...
  16. This is the first release. Beautiful model Thomas. As always... ?
  17. I've already shown some finished MFH (9), Italeri (3) and Airfix (1) models here, but I haven't made a wip thread yet. It will be my first ever Tamiya (!) - Williams FW14B with a full set from Top Studio... In general, modeling is a big challenge for me because I returned to this hobby 4 years ago after ... almost 40 years of break. Well, let's start again... The 1/12 FW14B kit is 34 years younger than me and comes from 1992. It is considered a successful, but poor in detail, model. For this purpose, I also bought a newly released full set of Top Studio MD29017 detailing and new decals from Tabu Design and some carbon decals from Scale Motorsport. The Top Studio set looks great. I checked this first: - more than 500 resin elements -more than 300 mechanically machined metal elements - over 50 wires and tubes - 12 plates with PE elements - mini decals ... Here are the first photos of the engine with the wiring started and small weathering. >>>>>>>>>>
  18. I have to search for something new from you for a long time. But it's worth it every time. ?
  19. Thanks to everyone who liked my work
