interior was done up out of the box using krylon off white and testors matt rubber. steering wheel still to do. instrument cluster was sprayed with testors dull coat.

thanks Ace! they do work well together.

thanks Craig! it is being built to my taste in old street rods.

I finally decided on the wheel tire combo. the fronts are from the 29 roadster kit and the rears spares box and parts pack.

thank you Craig, I like it.

fhank you Mathias!

lookin' real good!

a quick mock-up with the body in place shows that out of the box the car sits level. raising the rear gave me the rake I was looking for. that is not the wheel and tire combo that it is going to get. the keystone mags and whitewalls are too bright and take your focus away from the engine and body. for my taste anyway.

rear end has been raised a strong 1/8 inch to get it off the frame. the rear shocks needed lengthened also. I don't have pictures but the front axle assembly was built up out of the box. the drum brakes are also out of the box. I'll put the exhaust tips on after the body has been mounted.

thanks Ace, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

I got the engine mounted in the chassis along with the floor pan and the exhausts. on the top side the steering box is done along with the fuel tank and battery. thanks all for the advice.

thanks for the advice Craig!

thanks for your input Bob!

this is the engine I'll be using sourced from the 29 roadster kit. along with the slicks and raised rear end it should look more aggressive than built out of the box. still haven't decided whether or not to clear coat the body.

thanks for the info and input David!

well mega hobby claims you can do 3 car bodies with 1 can of spray paint. what I have pictured took almost 1 full can. I guess it's a good thing I didn't want orange wheels. the tamiya paint layed down nice and even but it sure does smell terrible. I still don't know if I'm going to clear coat it. I have a can of testors wet look lacquer but afraid of mixing brands. I have been working on the engine from the 29 roadster kit that I'm probably going to use in this build. pictures of it later.
