Well here she is my latest project. It started out as Revell's 65 Corvette.
I scratchbuilt the frame out of styrene stock. The wheel tubs are scratchbuilt from brass sheeting. The engine is Ross Gibson's 737 Thumper motor. The roll cage is scratchbuilt from 1/16 styrene rod. The struts were scratchbuilt from copper tubing (3/32" and 3/64") and styrene. The front crossmember is kit bashed from Revell's 41 Willys.
The bottom hood scoop was cut from a 67 Vette Big Block hood and the top scoop is from Competition Resins. Here are a lot pics!

Hello all,
I found this site not too long ago by accident. I've been jumping from board to board and really haven't found one that I like except for one other and this one. Anyway a little about me:
My name is Tommy from West Central Pennsylvania. I've been modeling cars for a little over 4 years now. My primary interests are Muscle Cars, Hot Rods, Drag Cars, and of course Corvettes (hence "Stingray")
I got 2 main projects on my bench right now.
-'65 Corvette Pro Street "Overkill"
-'66 Chevelle Pro Mod "The Instigator" A lot of you may have seen some that build on another site.
I'll post my Pro Street here in the next few minutes.
I really would like to see this site grow even bigger. You all see like a good group
Peace,
Tommy

Thanks for the comments everyone 8)
The tubs will be covered in carbon fiber decals.
The color will be a dark emerald green with a touch of metal flake. Interior will be black with a steel colored cage along with a steel colored frame. Those colors should go good together....I hope!
