I think it will be a one-off. I fear the 3D printed parts will be quite expensive. Nobody (except me ? ) would pay so much for a model car. To do a resine kit is to effortful. We will see...

Just wow!! AMAZING! I started with the dashboard. When finished, the chassis will be next to complete. Maybe I am ready with the CAD data by August.

Next step, grille is ready; I also added loudspeaker mesh to the door panel as I would have wanted it. The original round cover does not appeal to me. To do: - door handle & lock - Naca duct front right - chassis frontend, engine compartement - center console - dashboard - taillights - thermoforming mould for all windows

While Dann has a real model in the works I am still tweaking the CAD files. The door panel is quite ready.

This is GREAT! It will be a very cool model! BTW: the parts offered by gbtr6 won‘t fit. The Nazca M12 has a BMW V12 engine. The Isdera Imperator uses a Mercedes V8 engine (M119). The rear axle is from the Porsche 928. Regarding the front axle I am not sure. It‘ s a double wishbone configuration.

Cool!! Nice to see the progress. Looks very promising - well done! So while I only have some stupid CAD files, you have a real model. I see it´s going to be really fine model.

Just my thoughts! I could not resist to start with the hood and the doors before the chassis is finished. But now I can be sure to get all parts done. The CAD system is tricky sometimes.

That is correct. I am doing a model of the first version, which is an evolution of the bb CW311 - a one of unveiled 1979. picture from Wikipedia of the first Imperator series. picture from bb Buchmann of the CW311 Both cars were styled and designed by Eberhard Schulz. I met him when he still ran Isdera in Leonberg-Warmbronn around 2005.

Thank you! I added more details to the front and started with the chassis. To have all parts ready will take some time, but I‘m confident to get it done.

Moving forward. The front is almost ready. There will be seven 3D printed parts. I still wonder how to do the glass parts...

The front is getting better... some details are missing, but thats a thing to solve. @Dann: could you be so kind and measure the width of the seat? Mine are still burried in a moving box

So this is the actual status of my 3D-Model. The main surfaces are done, all of the details of the outer shell, the interior and the engine compartment have to be done.

So here are some pictures of the cardboard model. Unfortunately taken then with a Motorola RazrV3, so not that high quality. The 3D-Modeling is ongoing, it´s quiet difficult to find appropriate pictures of the side, front, back and top view. So it ´s a lot of try and error.

Hello and greetings from Germany. While searching for a blueprint of the isdera imperator 108i I found this thread. Amazing to see somebody else, who wants to have a 1/24 model of the imperator. When I was a teenager (35 years ago) I wrote a letter to Tamiya, if they could do a kit. They answered to do so, if the imperator is build in larger numbers. That never happened, so I decided to build a kit myself. After drawing the blueprint (there was no internet in 1993) I started to build a cardboard model to figure out the proportions. Then I bought a Mercedes 500 SEC "Lorinser" Kit from Tamiya to carry over the engine, gearbox and seats. I made molds and did die-cast parts for these items. Then I drawed the dashboard and isdera logos on my Atari ST. After that, I started to build a master model from wood, so I could do a mold for the body. Unfortunately there where life-changing moments and the project stopped. But I never forgot about it and decided to start it again more than 20 years later. As I now have access to 3D-printing, I will try to shape the body with a 3D modeling program. Due to a relocation recently, my already existing parts for the isdera are buried somewhere in a moving box. As soon as they appear, I will do some pictures. So maybe I finally will have a isdera model in another 20 years? Honestly I would be happy to have it ready in 5 years. Hope you will be quicker! Best regards, Erich
