That looks pretty "tough" , great color . I have many die-cast on cinder blocks, bought just for the 2 sets of tire / wheels ,
-
The kit from back in the day had the windshield frame molded in but no clear headlights and detailed frame with all items molded in as in these before / after pics
It probably is a promo , found this promo page on '57 birds that had friction motors and looks like maybe clear headlights,,,,,,,,,

Those are great , done a few myself last year.....
-
Hi Alex , good to have you here......
-
I was buying clear bodies for slots back in the 80's / 90's when my kids were racing and true the detail was faint , but the over-all look was there.
-
Now that is one fine looking Monte , the seat detail is outstanding , tire rub marks on the body , the racing grime , it all looks great....
-
That MGB/GT is fantastic , very cool , they both look great together
-
Bill, door locks have to be next , your builds have more things that work than my 1st car
-
Bread was a nickel , it was 5 miles to school up hill both ways ,the same routine all the old farts tell..........52

MJ your new name here will be "Otter" , just kiddin, see ya got alot of older plastic to work on , watch that Mr Obsessive or you'll have models with door locks that work and you'll lock youself out with the car running and never get that kit done , . Some of these guys are pushin the bar thru the roof...........

I looked at all of them Ken and have to say thats some fleet of the cleanest "carnie" machines I've ever seen cross a scale . 5th wheel crane mounted KW and that generator unit look real good. I'm trying to get this build done and start a few bigger truck builds myself , gonna use the boom from the Italeri kit 776 with the Paystar 5000 minus the dump or Testors rekitted Turbocharged Scania T-142-H. Your so right about taking up some space...

Bob , I have this old pop machine you can redo for the bed of your '62 its 2 1/8th wide x1 1/4 deep x2" high . Its from a 1/18 th scale item but I'm sure its way smaller then that, if you want it for your build its yours , let me know I'll send it out to 'ya....

Welcome Ken...alot of fine modelers in here...by pullers do you mean the pick-up and/or tractor variety?
-
Wow , thats a fantastic repair/redo Peter ,thats a lot of bench time on one kit......thanks
-
Thats wild..3-D dash ..that will be hard to top, not for you Mark, just for us mortals

Ifound out the hard way Dupli-color does not like to go over Testors lacquer system. 3rd paint job also meant reworking the wood inside , good thing I only tried 1 side to see how it would work. Its all done , just needs detailing and final assy......
The roof is dark blue as is the nose cap. I'll have to figure how to get some blue on the sides , maybe large lettering

John there was an article in one of the model mags how to do it with "plaster of paris" looked easy on paper .

Really a great subject , seen one that was like a wagoneer [if my mind is on track]made by Specast , I chose the '57 Dodge pickup instead , but upon getting it home it looked more like some odd 1/27 or 28th scale not the 1/25th it stated, so I never went back for Willys

Ya , just picked out the info needed , copied and pasted to view , I dont know what the extra #'s at the end were.....but on this kind of forum Brian can edit his original post removing the unwanted info , and re-submit ,then it should be ok.
