  1. Yes the tires and wheels come in the kit. Thanks everyone!
  2. Finished this one up. Scratch built the bed, stretched the frame, used the roof and top of the doors from the revell cj-7 kit. Otherwise it is box stock. And here is a couple of pictures with the Wrangler YJ and Silverado Size comparison
  3. No plans for casting, I've never used resin before and I don't think this is accurate enough to copy.
  4. Thanks for all the kind words everyone! I finally got some more done with this one. I cut the top half of the doors off of the revell cj 7 and made them fit. I built up a roll cage, I might add more support bars later. I lengthened the kit frame to match the new wheelbase. Next up will be to prime the body and make the suspension.
  5. Yes it is another rubicon kit. But this one is different. First off here is what a brute looks like. I Started with the body and chopped it up I then built the bed from scratch. I then built up the back of the cab from sheet styrene, The roof started out as a cj 7 roof but i cut it up to fit. This is where I am now, I need to build up the doors to match the 1:1. I would also like to open the hood and throw an engine in there. But if I do that then I might as well Scratch build the frame. Does anyone have recommendations on size of styrene for the chassis?
  6. I bought them from So Real Concepts years ago, They are irok super swampers and I believe bnl resins sell resin copies. Here is a better picture of the tires on the truck
  7. The tires on the tan jeep are the interco traxus tires from so real concepts but I think they are out of business now, the super swampers on the blue cj and the red rock buggy are from the aoshima hilux kits and the tires on the black cj and the blue Cherokee are tires from parts box. The tires on the chevy are also from so real concepts.
  8. This is my first model in around 5 years so don't mind the sloppiness
  9. The rear axle is from the silverado kit and the front axle is from the parts box. I think its originally from a mad mudder kit.
  10. That picture was taken before it was completed, the driveshafts are there.
  11. Finished this one a while ago as well, it is my most recent build. This is the Revell silverado with a few modifications. 4 link front and rear, exocage, and so on. tires are from so real. scratch built a new bed and fuel cell modified the kits front bumper. I somewhat wired the engine.
  12. Finished this a long time ago, just forgot to post it here. and a picture of all my jeeps.
  13. Finished this one up a long time ago, just forgot to post it. Completed pics in the finished gallery
  14. Thanks for the suggestions, I know a few of the bends are not perfect but for my first time i like the results.
  15. This is my first post here, hopefully not my last so please be kind . This is the first time I've used styrene tube and I am learning as i go, so the quality of the bends are not that great but i am satisfied with it. The Jeep hood, grill, and firewall come from the daisy dukes jeep and is the only thing i will be using from the kit. everything else will be scratch built or parts box. This will be about 90% scratch built and now for the pictures The rear bar will be cleaned up before paint so don't worry about the spot with the putty. Racing seats are from the Aoshima lifted 4 runner. And here is how it is now, just some more tubing added.
