I am going to have to build mostly off the buck after the windshield frame is made and attached. i cast 4 blanks to machine the tires . i can do them on the lathe because they will be slicks . going to take a while . i am looking forward to finishing the 55. thank you all -

the fractal vise is andrews fault ,he showed it to me. my wife got it for my birtheday,71 tomorrow. YIKES! the exhaust i have built dozens of times 1to1 on nascar cup cars. they are unofficially called boom tubes. working on suspension front and rear ,then i will get back on the engine. headers are a real hassle so far. i will continue to work at it. hi Todd. Trevor ,first time for me as well. very well made tool. -

cant keep up with you or Francis . hope you are doing well. nice to hear from you all. this is a big project. much thanks to David Bantoft for the chassis drawing. i got a good start on it. still building the 55 also. got to keep an old mind and hands busy. here is a few pictures. to make all the uprights the same and make sure the fish mouths were in line on both ends. i fished mouth one end and soldered them on a piece of tubing so i could clamp them in the vise to fish mouth the other end with a .150 ball endmill. this way all would be the same. i started on the front fascia with the grill opening. i am doing alot of research. found a lot of picture but no technical drawings. measurements are hard to come by as i am sure David knows. sorry noel, cheetah was always a favorite of mine . stay with me, it might grow on you. -

continuing on front suspension and rollcge.hi anton ,i did the cage with .125 tubing and to me it just looked wrong so i did it in .187. i didnt like it but i liked it more than the .125. after i read your comment and i had not decided what to do with it. i did it again in .155 and i am calling it good. i cant make myself do it a 4th time. i dont build to any rule books ,this is all fun and fantasy. if i had a rule book i assume the novi would be out of the question. my next project will be held to a stricter tolerance' i am going to buid a cheetah and try to get close to the original. heres the new roll cage and headers. the exhaust is almost done. the door panels and the rearview mirror. i will take more pictures this week and post again. -
