  1. Hello friends of beautiful model making, ... may I present you my Jaguar XK-120? There is not much to say about this. A model that was fun to build. The convertible top was covered with genuine leather. Wafer-thin. Only 0.1mm to 0.3mm thick. This model is one of my all time favorites. So, let's be looking at it. Your opinion on this would be interesting. And, as always, greetings from Germany, Uwe.
  2. Hello, friends of glue steam, now a DeSoto from my workbench. Not nearly as good as the model of our colleague here that was shown a few days ago. My model was just junk! Lots of parts were missing. The body looked just gruesome! So I stripped and repainted. I had to improvise with the dashboard and took one from another kit that serves as a spare parts store. Parts of the engine were also missing, the radiator was missing completely. In short, nothing was complete! Well, let's take a look at the DeSoto. I hope he knows to please at least a little? I would be really interested in your opinion. And, as always: Greetings from Germany!
  3. Thanks for your comments... Jim, Your right... It was a mistake! My fingers were faster than my brain.... ?
  4. Hi! I got the same kit but I'm going blind when I see this really great job! Hat's off!!!! The kit I have is just junk. I have already stripped the paintwork and partly repainted it. Let's see if I can do it as well as you can? Again: respect!
  5. Hello friends of glue haze, ... here is another favorite of my models. I've wanted to build a Cuda for years, but never got a kit. But then I got one very, very cheap and I took advantage of the hour. For once I painted with Tamiya paint. Lime green as top coat and pearl clear as finish. I hope you like it a little? Not enough pictures but I hope they say enough?
  6. Thank you! But there's a mistake at this build... The headlights are blind! I wasn't waiting enough with the glue. Actually I use GS-Cement for clear parts and it has to gas out before putting the parts together... Blame it on my impatience...
  7. Thank you all! Nice comments...
  8. Hey dear mates! Many thanks for your nice comments! That keeps me going on! Regards, Uwe.
  9. Hey mates, finished this one yesterday. To build this car was fun. Just out of box. Not perfect, but I like it. Nothing more to say. Thanks for looking. Let's see the pics:
  10. Hello, dear mates. There isn't much to say here. A panel van, built by OOB. It's a kit by Revell in 1:25. The construction went quickly and without complications. I hope you like it a little? Here are the pictures:
  11. Hello dear friends of construction and handicrafts, Now I'm going to show you a MAN with a container trailer. The kit is from Italeri in a scale of 1:24. This kit costs around 70 € but I got it for half the price. And that's just because a few very kitschy decals were missing! You have to snap shut, don't you? It was painted in azure blue metallic. Then let's take a look at the pictures. Thanks for looking!
  12. Many Thanks for your nice comments! That gives you the courage to keep going! @TarheelRick: This one is a kit by Revell in scale 1:24. Check out the picture:
  13. Hello, friends of the glue steam, .. maybe you already saw the Büssing in the gallery? I would like to show you a little construction report here. I hope there won't be too many pictures? Then let's try it. Thanks for looking. Here are the pictures of the creation of the Büssing:
  14. @ Jouko:... late but not forgotten! Sorry, Thank you!
  15. Hello jim Thanks for your praise. I am glad that you like the model. I checked it out. This company actually still exists and transports all kinds of goods. National and international long-distance transport. So Europe-wide.
  16. Hello, friends of well-kept model making, Today I'm going to show you a truck from the 1950s. It is a Büssing 8000 S13. At some point the Büssing brand was acquired by the somewhat larger company MAN. The little logo with the lion had to be retained; you can still see it on MAN trucks today. Driving this truck was really tough back then. No servo support. Neither for brakes, steering or clutch! I think it's something different from an American truck? I hope you like it a little? Thanks for looking. Here are the pictures:
  17. Hello David, thanks for your answer. When you asked which colors I use, only Duplicolor car paints. Finally, I take a cheap clear coat from the hardware store. See the purple panel truck. Shines like a bacon rind, as we say in Germany. I don't use an airbrush either, I paint with rattlecans. Airbrush is too expensive for me, don't have the money for it. That's why can painting. But the result is still impressive, I think. Greetings from Uwe.
  18. Thanks for the welcome greetings... And thanks for looking... Long time ago I was working for the American Forces in Germany, Mainz-Kastel... Wasn't speaking English since this time. Forgot the most, sorry. ? That's the reason why I have to use Auntie Google's translater sometimes... LOL
  19. Thank you a lot!
  20. Thanks a lot!
  21. Hello mates... I like to show my favorite paint job. It's a Jaguar XK-120 with a leather coated roof. I hope it's not to much with the pics? Thanks for looking.
  22. Thanks for all the answers! Very nice and kind... ? Yes, I have to admit that every build is a lesson for the next one! I will do everytime my very best... As good as I can... Hope you all like my works a little bit? I know I'm far away from some members here... I am full of admiration for various works here! Respect! I wish all members here a very nice day... Greetings from Germany, Uwe.
  23. Hello everyone, I once dared to register in an American forum. I hope I will be accepted by you here? I've been modeling for about 11 years and it's extremely fun! Many colleagues here build really great models, I think I'm going blind ... I started with American trucks and European trucks. Now it's a question of space and that's how I got to the cars. Surely there is a corner here where I can show what I have built so far? It's not nearly as good as some of the other models here, but I think it's a matter of fun. I would also like to ask you to excuse my clumsy English. Every now and then I use Auntie Google's translator. If it doesn't fit, please push it on! I am really happy to be here. If you have any questions about me that interest you, let them out! To a good togetherness. Greetings from Uwe.
