Thanks! You'll enjoy it!

Thanks! Yeah. I removed all the chrome. The only modified parts are the headlights (the kit doesn't have lenses) and the airfoil (scratched that).

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it!!

Thanks. Lot's of test fitting involved. But it's a cool kit.

? I learn so much here every day. It's nice to contribute too.

BMF is a pain to use on kits that don't have very defined trims such as this one.

Thanks! The build is back on it's tracks ?

Now it's trim time. To mask the trim, I start with Fine strips of tape. Gloss Black first I'll let it dry before painting the chrome.

A relief after the cracked varnish? Thanks! And I found out what I did wrong. The second coat was too heavy. When this happens, the surface dries faster then the thick wet layer and then wrinkles.
-
Applied more varnish and then polished. First I sanded down to 3000 grit until almost all shiny spots were gone. Then polished with compounds. Looking good?
-
Yes. Luckily the paint wasn't affected; only the varnish.

Ran into some trouble on the varnish wet coats. I think I applied the second wet coat too early. The instructions say you must give 5minutes between each coat. Got wrinkles: Had to let it dry 24hours and sanded everything with 1200 grit.
