  1. omg, rossi headlights on a late model. that car has 1989 written all over it ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘
  2. there was an old sticker i used to see on VW busses, specifically split busses, "your Vanagon sucks. stop waving at me" iv got a feeling it'll make a comeback only it'll read "your Buzz sucks. stop waving at me"
  3. it was actually earlier in the week, but Bullitt edition mustang.
  4. that would be the guy/car. googled his name and found the Hot Rod Magazine article on it (for anyone who's interested https://www.hotrod.com/features/69-cougar-gold/ ) i wonder what he's up to these days. or if he's still in the area. i haven't talked to him sense late 2006/early 2007 and if memory serves he was working as a rep for 3M or Dupont or something.
  5. i know that Chili's. i eat there a couple times a year and drive past it all the time cause i like to cruise by Toprank Imports which is right down Corporate ave. didn't know there was a Southern California Cougar Club... i used to know a guy who was into those. Steve, don't remember his last name. had a gold 69 with white stripes and a black vinyl top. 351w under the hood. white interior. it wasn't a show car but it was a really clean well kept driver with fresh paint. it was featured in Hot Rod or Car Craft Magazine back in like 2005. used to hang out with him in the auto body department of Cerritos College. haven't seen him or the car in almost 20 years. i wonder if he still has that thing. i vaguely remember him having a second 69 in serious need of work. but was talking about doing Torino or Galaxy or something, i don't remember. anyway i saw a Model T of unknown year today. looked a little ruff but seemed pretty stock, clear down to the wooden wheels. the guy was actually driving it!
  6. what part of Cypress did you work in? i drive through Cypress commuting to/from work. used to work in Los Alamitos on the border of Cypress (Katella & Bloomfield). and iv known a few people who have lived in Cypress (one off Ball & Holder, and one off Cerritos and Denni) don't know what year, but i saw a short bed bump side Ford. looked pretty much stock. couldn't tell you the last time i saw a short bed.
  7. its a traditional hot rod that needs a paint job. people used to call those "rat rods", then "rat rods" morphed into art cars, some even have a theme ?
  8. don't say doka. ? i remember when people started saying that on thesamba and people would make fun of them for it. better times. not to mention nobody outside the VW scene knows what you're talking about.
  9. i saw a guy on a mini bike doing like 55mph in the left lane of traffic. idk what the frame was but the engine looked like maybe a built up Tillotson 212 on what smelled like race gas. i watched him lane spit like he was on a crotch rocket, scaring people. it was mind blowing.
  10. there's one of those buried in my garage right now. pretty sure it's the same year to, 59.
  11. pic's of your car? the Beck cars are pretty dang nice.
  12. its sitting on 4 lug VW wheels with Porsche nipple hubcaps. it could just be the photo but the panel gaps look off (big, usually a sign of fiberglass). again, it could be the pic (angle) the trail lights and license plate light look to close to the bumper. idk about years, but i believe there is supposed to be chrome trim that runs along the side of the car door handle height. it could have been shaved, but normally that's a sign of a kit car. the lip on the dash over the gauge cluster looks to thick. but hey, iv been wrong before.
  13. i didn't know there was a Mercury version of the Pinto. i find it shocking and confusing and i kinda want one so i can build a semi era correct pro stock out of it just to be extra weird.
  14. year, model, and condition pending im surprised someone has scooped it up and restored it. classic tractors are kind of a big deal in some parts.
  15. neighbor finally had this thing parked out in the street where it was visible. its got a big kit cat clock thing on the side of it
