Does this version have custom parts?

It has the custom engine and wheels, not sure what else if anything. Suspension has choice of stock height or lowered.

  2. Next on the bench. I'll be building the OOB custom, I will not be using the Coke decals. Nothing special, so not much to see. Just thought I would put it up. Comments always welcome.

Since I won't be using the 51 Henry J body and hood I did a little mock up with the Extra wheels & tires that came with my M2 56 Ford pickup.  This would be some what of a curbside.  Might be a pretty kewl little build.

That would be cool. Maybe you can find a big ole rat fink driver to stick out the top.

Looking great James.   Big '66 SS fan here since it was the first new car I ever bought back in the day!!

Thanks Mike. IMO the 66 is the best looking Chevelle made.

Looking really good, James. I think you have mastered these finnicky decals. Great save on them.

Thanks. Yea, I think part of my problem is the cold weather here, I don't have much heat in my work shed.

Don't think its Mikes fault. Have you called him? He would probably be happy to send you another sheet. It's not his fault if Powerslide sold him a bad sheet. Mike is probably the best vendor we have.

Yea, didn't mean that the way it sounded. I know it's not MIkes fault and I will buy from him again. It's the powerslide decals I was referring to. But It was taking so long to get them to release I started leaving them in the water too long and apparently that was causing them to break. I have now figured out about the right time to leave them in to get them to release and stay together. So it's working out.

  7. Decaling is going slow. It takes almost 30 minutes sitting in water for the decals to release. And some of them are breaking apart trying to get them positioned. No more Power Slide decals from Mike's for me.
