I'm starting a Jo-Hann 1966 AMC Marlin that I think they will look really good on.

Greetings All, For all those who enjoy building mid-60's American automobiles, and who are familiar with the double pinstripe tires that some new cars came with. Round2Models, reproduced AMT's Tire Pack that has 2 sets of these tires. One set is a regular tread design and the other is a 'Street' type drag slick. While this may not be news to you, (they have been out for a while), I just received word from them that this particular Tire Pack has been discontinued. So........If you were thinking about getting a pack of them, you better get them now! I just ordered 3 packs from 'Model Roundup'. Really good folks to deal with. Don't know how many they have left.

Completed the '67 Camaro yesterday. Used a combination of 'Keith Mark's Decals' and 'Model Car Garage' photo-etched details. Also, 'Fireball Modelworks' 14" 1967 Camaro Sport Wheel Covers and tires. All of these fellow's products are First Class! Hope you enjoy the photos!

Hey Guys, Just received an email from a company named 'Model Kit Closeouts' from Mayfield, Pennsylvania. Don't know how they got my email except, a week ago I tried to order something from 'Hobby Models' and my order would not go through. But of course, I did have to enter my CC number and email to place the order. Then I find out, after researching on The Forum and the internet, that 'Hobby Models', (among its other names), is highly suspect. The point is, 'Model Kit Closeouts' is located in South Canaan, Pennsylvania which is suspiciously close to Mayfield. May want to approach with great caution!

Thank you, fellows, for the input. One thing I have learned after researching on the internet is that there is a definite difference between 2-part epoxy's. The 'quick set' epoxys are not the best. In fact, the 5 or 10 minute types are the poorest when it comes to strength and adhering. Something to do with the chemicals they add to speed up the curing process. The slower curing 2-part epoxies are supposed to cure harder and produce a stronger bond. I started using Mercury's 30 Minute epoxy and noticed it immediately.

Greetings All, Looking for different opinions on what you all use for adhering resin together. Especially when reworking a resin body. I have used 'Mercury M300FM' cyanoacrylate adhesive, 'Mercury' 30 minute, (2 part), epoxy and also J.B. Weld, (original slow cure), with varying degrees of success. I just acquired a resin trans kit body with a 'chopped/lowered' roofline that I plan to bring back to 'stock' height. Needless to say, there will be a little bit of work involved. What are your 'Go To' products for this type of work?

Brandon, I made the cradle from 'evergreen' polystyrene pieces. Mainly their tubing. The bottom is their 1/8 tubing and the rest is slightly smaller diameter. The wheels are also tubing, just cut very narrow and I filled in the center with J.B. Weld epoxy. I used a piece of .020 styrene sheet to make the bases to glue the wheels to and added the 'skirts' to the sides of the wheels. After gluing it all together I added the epoxy to all the glue joints to add strength and to look like welding joints.

After a 'brief' pause I am back on track with the Camaro project. Scribing in a few missing body seams, sanding down the protruding rear window molding, and other assorted corrections. A new paint job and starting to add some chrome trim.

Thank you guys for all the comments! Now, after making the corrections on the '67 Camaro body that Richard, (Snake45), suggested, I will continue that project.

Oh yes Mike, I understand all of what you mentioned. Small business, one man operation, good quality casting, etc. As I stated in my post, I ordered from him before, took forever to respond. Finally allowed to order and received the bodies in about 2 weeks. My wife has a shop on ESTY and it is a one person operation. Sewing and embroidering. Slow and tedious work. But, she replies to all enquiries in a timely manner because it means a 'Sale'. She also noticed Ron has a Facebook Page, so he is up on all the modern communication methods. I guess I'm from a different generation where CSL, consideration and courtesy for another were more widely practiced. Oh yea, and saw plenty of businesses go under because the owner thought that 'customer service' was overrated. The email address was exactly the one on his website. Will keep all posted on how long it takes and for others who are planning on ordering from him.

Does anyone know if RMR is still alive? The website specifically states, "All Orders, Questions, Please Email Me!". Well,....just like I did last year, I did, about a week ago. Again, NO response. Last year, after several emails, I did a 'rant' on this Forum when I didn't get any response from Ron and after several folks agreed about his poor communication, he finally answered me! And NOWHERE on his site does he mention a Facebook site. I not on Facebook and have no desire to be on it. After I finally got to order 2 bodies from him last year, I thought I was on the 'preferred customer list' and he would answer my future emails. Fat chance. Please, if you are one of his defenders, I have no desire to hear how he answers you in 'less than a day'. Just give me the 'Secret Password' so he will answer my enquiry in a timely manner.

David, It is supposed to be 'Granada Gold', a 1967 Chevrolet color. So, it was probably used on other Chevys as well at the time. Actually, I used Dupli-Color 'Sunburst Gold', which I think is a ford color, but I won't tell the Chevy guys!

There is no link. Joe Vondracek is his name and he casts some pieces from his location in California. Occasionally he sells his castings on Ebay but, I haven't seen anything lately. You will see all the photos and information I posted about this casting. Nothing to it.

Greetings All, Finished the Corvair wagon this weekend. Alas, it is a 'static' model because I really didn't want to get into creating an opening tailgate to access the engine cover. However, hope you enjoy the photos!

Yes Mike, I was thinking about that at the start. A couple of pieces of .020 sheet styrene strips and some epoxy and 'Instant Sedan Delivery'. However, I decided to go the Concept Car route, (this time.........).

Greetings All, Since taking Snake45's advice on modifying, (fixing), the body of my '67 Camaro project, I thought I'd start working on the Corvair wagon trans-kit as a slight diversion. After cleaning up and priming the body and interior 'tub', I filled in some small imperfections and checked the fit of the AMT kit parts. The interior is complete and just finished spraying on the base coat of Dupli-Color 'Sunburst Gold Metallic'.

Great paint job and choice of color. Really nice build!
