  1. Great stuff!
  2. Thanks for the kind words all. I have never used the pens, I am looking forward to giving them a go. Ron
  3. Thanks all, The Carbs are Tamiya X-12 Gold leaf over silver. It's sort of a transparent paint and works well for carbs and brake boosters etc.
  4. I've ordered some chrome paint pens for this build. I've never used them before but I'm hoping they work better than foil. We shall see......
  5. Hello all, I am new here having just joined last week. Here is my first build thread to be posted here. Revell's 1966 GTO. It's a great kit. I am keeping it simple by focusing on paint. I am not adding any wiring to this build just to keep it simple. The body is done with Tamiya Primer then Tamiya Dark Metallic blue then gloss coated with Testers gloss lacquer (my fav). All rattle can rather than airbrush. I still need to give it a polish but I lucked out with no dust. Cheers
  6. I'm building the same kit right now. Just finished clearing the body.
  7. Yes I am from Calgary! Thanks, I'll look for one now.
  8. Question for you all, It there a kit available out there for a 64 Grand Prix? my dad and I restored one back in the 80's and I've love to build a kit of it for him.
  9. Thanks for the warm welcome all, and thanks for leading me to the site Kevin. The Flameout's are not off to a great start Moparfarmer. Maybe they will win against BC tonight?? Cheers Ron
  10. Hi all, I am new here so I thought I would introduce myself. I've been modeling since a young kid back in the early 70's. I build cars, aircraft, ships and armor but I mainly build planes and cars. My main interests in autos are muscle cars, street rods and sport cars. I stick mainly to 1/24 1/25th although I do have some larger scales in the stash that I hope to get to someday. I also dabble in the real ones. I have a 1957 Chev 1/2 ton custom cab street rod that I built from the frame up over the years. I also had a 2008 Vette for the last 14 years but sold it this summer ? I've always been a car nut. I look forward to getting to know everyone here over the upcoming months. Here is a pic of my real rod, unfortunately I don't have any model pics handy here at work but I'll try and get some posting here in due time. All the best Ron
