  1. Both of Mike's suggestions are spot on. These two guys are experts. ....... Here's a link for you that should give you some added help........ http://www.howtoairbrush.com/ Sully
  2. Roger, I'm from Mount Pleasant, just a few miles down the road from you. I'm giving you a link to the model club I belong to in the Burg.......If your interested in joining or just going to a meeting to see what we're about........give me a holler.... http://www.3ram.org/ The site is a new one so there is not very much info to date. I have a flier here of an upcoming show in March. It's located in Castle Shanon. I will post it here in a day or so. Good to see someone else from the area here........ Sully

  4. Thanks for posting the pics from our show Bobby. Was good to see you again, and I hope you had a good time. Remember to mark November 1st. on your calender. That's the show in New Stanton. Hope you can make it !!!!!! Sully

  6. Nail Polish Remover........... "NON - ACETONE". I have used this on resin from many different casters and have had no problems at all. Even with this track record I still try it on a small area to make sure theres no reaction. A good handfull of cotton balls and some elbow grease are all you need. Also make sure you use this in an open area because it does put off some fumes, but nothing more than when the wife does her nails.......Also ,I always have a pan of water at hand to rinse the part, or body off as I go along. For the life of me I can't remember who I got this tip from,or what forum, but I do recall he was one of our well accomplished builders.........If I do remember the name I will pass it along. I don't want to sound like a broken record, but be sure that you use the "Non-Acetone" remover........... Sully
  7. If you want some awsome looking, wired resin distributors, just p.m. Kris Morgan. He's the owner and operator of Morgan Automotive Detail. Kris does these in 4, 6, and 8 cylinder. Many color choices for both wire and cap. He also sells on e-bay. I have done some master work for Kris and I can tell you his distributors are fantastic. Here's a link for his web site: http://www.lpstech.com/products.htm Just tell him Sully sent you........... Sully
  8. If you want to give your part the look of Cast Iron, you can add a little talcum powder to your paint. Not only will if give you the texture of cast iron, it will also dull the gloss of the paint. Experment on an old part till you get the right mixture. An old tip from an old modeler....... Sully
  9. Steeler fan since birth. It's a family tradition......... Sully
  10. She's lookin' reeeeeal sweet Ed. That's a good color for her and I would paint the wheel centers gold. Just my opinion. I think that would help set off the body color............ Saw your post for a spoiler, if I have one I'll send it out this week.......... Sully
  11. Looks good so far Ed. Good idea on this one. Nothing like working outside the box....... Sully
  12. Mike, Here's the link to Rons web site: http://www.freewebs.com/rmrresin/nf125.htm It can also be found on Rocketfin.com I haven't seen the 41 Chubbie listed on his site yet. I have only seen it on e-bay. You can also contact Ron by e-mail. His address is: andrews_544@hotmail.com I should have listed this before but my post didn't seem to show much interest.........sorry Sully
  13. I agree with Mike. Kris Morgan makes an awsome pre wired distributer. Many color combinations. No, I don't work for Kris either, but I have done some master work for him in my Machine Shop. You can also order directly from Kris by using this link...............tell him Sully sent ya....... http://www.freewebs.com/morganautomotivedetail/index.htm Sully
  14. Nice lookin build. I like the detail work you did on the engine........ Sully
  15. Nate, Not sure what color yet. Need to have the body in my hands first............ but your right, It will be a pearl. As for the Ramcharger...........we're not allowd to sell on the site, have to do that off board. but as for now I'm going to hang onto it.....sorry Sully
  16. Neal, Like I said..........waiting on pins and needels for the mail man......... but if it's like other castings I got from Ron I know it will be good. He does some very nice work............As soon as I receive it I'll let you know how she looks.................

    63 Nova SS

Super lookin Nova Ed. I like the entire look of the build. Good idea with the six banger, and a good job on the detail work.............. Sully
  18. Here's a couple a pics of an upcoming project. It's a chopped 1941 Chevy coupe in resin. This is one of the lastest offerings from Ron Andrews at RMR in Meadville Pa. The body was mastered by the " Z man" , our very own Steve Zimmerman. What's really nice about this kit, is it's made to fit on the Revell 41 Willys Street Rod chassis. This way we can use the front and rear suspension right from the kit............great idea. I piked mine up from e-bay last week, and Ron has another one listed now. I'm on pins and needles waiting on the mail man........... Hope you like the pics..................if so, let the Z man know............... Sully This pic shows you everything that comes with the resin kit...........it's hard to see in this pic, but the hood is a seperate item. Here's another showing a mock up...........
  19. It's $1.95 where I am in Pa. Sully
  20. It might have taken you awhile to get her finished ,but it was worth the wait. A very nice job on the build, but more important, a very nice tribute to a dear friend. Sully
  21. From my wife and I, we wish you all, a Safe and Happy Thanksgiving............ Sully
  22. Thanks for the comments and the question Walt. The blue in the squares is the decal. The front half is painted yellow and the rear half blue. If you look real close at the second pic, you can see my mask line from the upper right corner of the rear window, across the "e" in Dodge, down to the black rocker. Sully
  23. Yup, that's me in the backround.............the one with the shiney haircut......... Sully
