  1. It seems to be quite obvious that they must have labelled EEC Export versions with the V8 as SCs, because I had one of them. The supercharged V6 version wasn't available unless it was a grey import.
  2. It was a 1991 SC 5.0L, bought from Intercars B.V. US-Cars in Herve, Belgium. It was an EEC export version.
  3. Remember the Nagano "Drug Racing" dragster kit?
  4. Not quite as good There was a Challenger, too. Took me some doing to recognize it as one though. They still aren't near as terrible as the Doyusha Nostagic Heroes.
  5. You can always revert to the "superb" Otaki/Arii one
  6. Have you ever driven an SC? Or been in one when I was at the wheel? If it is boring, than a 635CSi and a 560SEL must be even more boring, since a 5.0 SC can outperform both in every aspect. At least when I drive it. Bland maybe. But certainly not boring.
  7. "They" don't have the slightest of what people would or would not buy
  8. But the AMT 63/64 Impalas are still utter rubbish! Then there is this AMT I think '73(?) Mustang. It has been around since what feels like the bronze age, gets reissued every two years and is still neither nicer, nor correcter, than it was in the first place. What an epic waste of styrene that thing is is beyond anybody's belief. Please, please stop reissuing that kit!
  9. Hmmm... I bought a new 1991 SC 5.0L and found it anything but boring.
  10. Do you export to England?
  11. No, I just mentioned it, because I like the series. But so far nobody picked up on it.
  12. Oh, and could Round2 finally make a proper body for the 58 Belvedere kit and re-release it? Please?
  13. I'd like to see a lot more T'birds. Especially of the 58-60s. And the 77-79s. But alas... Also the 67-71s. Actually, hardly anybody is still doing T'birds when I think of it.
  14. How could one possibly state a like for Justin Bieber? If he was made into a model kit, I'd post it in this here thread on the spot.
  15. I said, the AMT 63/64 Impalas became utter rubbish the moment Revell launched their's. Tee hee...
  16. Looks like it's still being made: http://www.resinreal...axie4drhtp.html And you are right on all accounts.
  17. Spot on! Thanks a lot! And yes, all you need to do to make a 4dr hardtop out of a 4dr sedan is whack the posts out and round off the rear window openings a bit: And no, it won't be b&w...
  18. Parrot: Bad kits: The AMT 63/64 Impalas became utter rubbish the moment Revell launched their's.
  19. I forgot who makes this body. Can anyone out there remember? Cheers, Dr. Alois Alzheimer
  20. The 1:24 Airfix JB007 Aston, Toyota 2000GT and Aston DB6 were last seen from MPC. Were the tools returned to Old Blighty after the run, or are they with Round2, or scrapped?
  21. Hmmmm... It's difficult to get as much as a tenner for them on Ebay.
  22. I still use oil-based enamels for everything I don't paint with automotive paint. Like GeeBee, I use cellulose thinners with them. I tried white spirit and turpentine, but nothing works as good as cellulose. I always carefully nick the little glass jam jars from the breakfast buffet in hotels. I fill three of them with cellulose. The first is the 'dirty' one. This is where I stump in the brushes straight after I used them. After I wiped them on a cloth, I then stump them into glass no.2 and after another wiping they go into glass no.3 for a final rinse. Once glass no.3 is slightly contaminated, I dump what is in glass no.1, fill it with what's in glass no.2, fill glass no.2 with the slightly contaminated content of glass no.3 and fill glass no.3 with fresh cellulose.
  23. What about the Revell 1:12 scale R.M. Choppers series? I think it was great.
