1973 Chevy Laguna. I'm de Nascarizing this body that someone gave me. I cut out the headlight and taillight openings, the rear quarter windows and the too-big front wheelwells, replacing them with parts box 1967 GTX pieces, that I still need to reshape slightly. I recessed the chrome front bumper, shaved the sides off, stripped and primed it. It will be body color, maybe orange. There was a big gas cap hole on the driver's side quarter that I stuck a piece of sprue in. Pegasus wheels. Prepared 2 hoods for paint, 1 flat and 1 with a scratchbuilt cowl scoop. It will be a 454, 4 speed, big brake, pro touring type of thing.

It is a nothing to lose, parts box build.Started with a junk '68 Road Runner body and a Blazer roof. The hood and interior are from a Monogram '70 GTX. The front grille appears to be an old JoHan piece. The chassis is an Mpc Charger part. I had to narrow the roof, scratchbuild the roof pillars, fill and rescribe the door lines, from 2 door to 4. Always wanted to do one of these, it took me a while to figure out how.

I chose the Monte Carlo Nascar body because of its bubbled wheelwells, then added the (black) GNX wheelwell flares from the Monogram GNX kit to them.

Goal : 1/25th scale GNX. Early in the buiIt, it turned into a pro touring/Silver State Challenge type of thing. I used a 1/25th scale Nascar Monte Carlo (SS) as a base. Header panel, hood and taillight panel came from a Monogram GNX and were narrowed to fit the 1/25th scale body. Front of the chassis is from the Nascar Monte kit, back is from an Mpc Coronet pro street kit. I'm using the Monogram GNX door panels, dashboard, steering wheel and motor. The transmission is a 3D Viper 6 speed unit. It is on its 3rd rear spoiler. Painted it white, as can be seen in one picture.

I bought a '66 Skylark dirt track kit, because it still has many stock parts in it and I was using it for donor for a stockish annual I was restoring. That's the one with the wavy side chrome trim, without the AW decals. I'm building this from the leftovers from that build. I swapped motors with the annual, because it had a Powerglide transmission. Both had Nailhead V8s. The dirt tracker had a 4 speed that I wanted to put in the stockish one. I cut the wheelwells out square and grafted Chevelle wheelwells into the holes. The chassis is from an Amt 'Petty' Dart. I converted it to a unibody with rear and front (late model Camaro) subframes. Twin turbo setup came from my friend's 3D printer. Fuel injection unit came from the same (2015?) Camaro. Tubs are prescription pill bottoms. Cowl scoop is my old debit card. The annual was supposed to be its tow car, but Iike it too much to put a trailer hitch on it, as originally planned. Black out the grille, some paint details and touchups and polish left to do.

I'm waiting on a '69 body from the same source. Already have the Chevelle donor. If I were starting from scratch I'd use an Olds interior.

Built to fit into the old SS/BA class. I know the Hemi Cudas were '68s. This build initiated on a challenge, that I couldn't fit a Monogram Hemi, this one from a '71 Cuda, into a 1/25th scale Mpc Cuda. I used the stock chassis but tubbed it, using the bottom of a prescription pill bottle for tubs. I used modified Amt '68 Road Runner front inner wheelwells to fit. Started in 2017, lost interest, was looking for a new project this year and decided to finish this one. Lost the taillight, grafted in a sectioned and narrowed '70 GTX taillight panel. Found the taillight after I finished the car.
