Does that mean actually the fujimi kits completely wrong for a 911r as its a SWB meaning this revel body at least is a better start point for a true 911r. I'm still figuring out the exact direction to go with this. Ive got it all apart and need to get all the paint stripped. Windows are a mess so need to figure that out too

Thanks all They're decent little kits and have plenty in my stash to build up a nice field of cars I have two more to finish a evo and a bugeye subaru and then i have some citreons to build before I tackle the delta and 205. Evo uses tge dreaded kit decals the subaru a combination of ebay decals. I have these to, have done the sauber for some reason though i installed the steering wheel forgot to paint it and then glued the body on haha

Very smart colourscheme -
Have a few of these kits lying around. Over the summer i took the oppurtunity to try tamiya spray paint in the in laws garden and these where the test victims. Finally got round to decaling and finishing. The kit decals disintegrated so the focus has decals from ebay, tge imprezza is 20+ year old decals from 2 or 3 kits of same car and the 206 uses kit and a set bought online. The white on all these kits decals is very transparent and even the ebay decals still look pink on the 206. But nice to actually get something finished.

Not being a Expert on 911s, from reading between the 911l, 911s and 911T as road cars there'd be some spec changes (wheels, trim and options) the engines where very similar just slightly different tweaks. I think 911T was base model (lightest), then the S and the L was more luxury for 1968. Although I also read the T replaced the L? So confused. I assume all have the same 2.0l engine before 1970 where the larger spec engines became available? Yes the R would need some more body work changes and scratch building

Very nice topic -
I like to have multiple projects going and move between whichever one I'm in tge mood for, so alongside my E I introduce a 911. This was a started bashed up kit off an auction site, it was a glue bomb in places, tge windows are all a mess and red paint everywhere. I have unassembled it as best as I can with some minor breakages. My first issue is what is it? It's a revell kit with 1970 printed on the bottem. The instructions give notice clue other than its a 911 I'm guessing a 2 litre car but I'm trying to figure out is a LWB from 69 onwards or a pre 1969 SWB. Ill try mock up the shell against some lines too I think it may actually be a 1968?

Looking good, The old damaged body id chop the roof and just build some 70s racer out of it. I did like the red but gotta be a colour your happy with so good on you stripping it back and making sure your happy. I will build a road car vette soon, I'm torn between the box art green or a burnt orange if I ever do one

Evening all, Started this project using the old 1:25 revell roadster. The car I am making is E-Type 875027, the first E-type Roadster delivered to Cunningham and the car raced at Sebring in 1962 and 1963 before being replaced by the lightweights. https://stanceworks.com/2016/11/not-quite-lightweight-gregor-fiskens-preserved-1961-jaguar-e-type/#:~:text=Built in 1961%2C Gregor Fisken's Jaguar E-type%2C,famous driver and team owner Briggs Cunningham. I'm building mine to replicate the car as raced in the 1963 race, which is how the car is currently presented. Jobs Sort out the headlight shape (the kits are way to circular) if this fails I'll cover them just like the real car had at race start. Build tunnels/structure behind headlights. Opening up doors and boot and build working hinges. Scratch build boot interior, fuel tank, spare wheel holder and other components Modify interior based on reference pictures ' transmission tunnel doesnt match kit parts. Modify engine to have a wide angle head and redo carb set up. May try wiring this engine Scratch various body modifications including parts similar to the lightweight cars Replace missing wheels from the kit with better wheels (looking at Jack's resin model parts) Make roof mounted indentification lights Current status All parts cut out, prototype hinges built using paper clips. Boot structure being built up.

1963 Triumph TR4

Really like this, I need to finish my airfix 1:32 which i was trying to make look like the daytona 24 hour cars. Wish there was a decent 1:24 kit -
Has anyone built the 1:24 scale Minicraft TR3 I believe it was also boxed by Entex and maybe Revell. I require the hard top part for a project using the Gunze TR3 (gunze didnt do a hard top), however don't want to buy a whole kit for 1 part, seen a few build it without the top so hoping there may be a spare lying in a box and be better to make use of a scrap/leftover Will pay postage, UK based.
