  1. Thanks so much that's a huge help!!!
  2. My kits missing instructions and I'm struggling where this fits?
  3. I've paused my Camaro for now as come up against a few issues with wheel arches. So while I figure that out I've pulled out a charity shop find. It's missing the photo etch parts and also a wheel. So I'll source some nice 1:43 wheels from elsewhere. The body is a bit battered so I'll practice some filling and reshaping on this. I'm going to make it a racer but not sure what car yet. What I am starting with
  4. I decided to add the ECD 400's white around the nose and also tried with my shakey hands to add the silver bonnet trim. Again I'm now thinking masking tape should have been used but this will now be a bench mark for my next build and learning more for the bigger projects I have in mind. I may order some decals and turn it into a sort of racer as I plan to just do racers.
  5. I'm still playing around with some airfix kits as scrap cars to work out a good brush painting technique. Although I nipped outside and spray painted 1 of them just so I could have at least 1 kit under my belt! I hope to get withing a quarter of Pierre's mastery of a brush.
  6. Nice build, the underside looks great and like a car should! I'm a long way of trying that sort of detail
  7. That colour looks great, bet it stands out on a shelf!
  8. This is my first build I've finished and not thrown to one side. A lot went wrong, a lot was learned, a lot will be done better next time. But felt good to finish a model, this is an old mould and had lots of fit issues. I gave up blending the side (base to top of body) and realise that I could of done some more wet and dry to remove the sanding marks from filling sink holes. This was going to be the Oulton Park, first e type winner 'ecd 400' but I realised the roof is just a textured hard top and nothing like the real cars soft top. Everything is out the kit except I made some light housing out of an old birro pen after seeing a nother build do it. I'm using these starter kits to learn on before going back to a more complicated Camaro project. I have another e type that I'll take my learning from this one to do better. (I lost the indicators)
  9. I'm still practicing after your advise, Looking real good so far
