  1. Walt, honestly, I couldn't believe a) how many pieces there are and how small some of the parts are... forget using my glasses! The detail is excellent. I'm sure if I take my time it MAY come out half way decent. A lot of detail brush painting will be in order! Hopefully I'll start it soon and take some pictures!
  2. This post is an extension or addendum to my project in the "Drag Racing Build Off" '66 Cuda HUG. I bought and received the project's "crate engine". The Ross Gibson 603 Hemi!. I thought it only fitting to give this new era Hemi Under Glass (HUG) a new era motor. OH MY GOD!!!... There's a lot of pieces here. Anyone ever build one that can offer some tips? Tricks? Advice? Moral Support? Thanks, DrewC
  3. Dwayne... thanks for the "thumbs up"!... Now if I can finish this, that will be another story!
  4. Nice clean job! Any more pics of the motor? DrewC
  5. Very nice build - ditto on the detail! DrewC
  6. I am revising my original entry.... My entry post stated the chassis and tub from the 55 Chevy Sportsman. That, has been chnaged. I have decided to go with the Berreta chassis, roll cage and front suspension. The rear tub (I'm almost too embarassed to say) is from an old Snap kit Firebird.... DrewC
  7. Great job Andy! Keep at it.... This site is such a motivational tool, everytime I log back on, my motivation goes fromm one project to another..... DrewC
  8. From my previous post trying to explain what the (*&$*&(^% I'm trying to do....
  9. Well thanks guys.... I hope I don't regret this.... So, my idea is this: The reincarnation of the Hemi Under Glass.... Millenium style! Based on the AMT/Model King re-issue of the '66 Barracuda, Hemi Under Glass. This one though, hopefully - with a twist. The plan is to build it SPORTSMAN style: Body is the 66 'cuda from the AMT kit, chassis, tub section and suspension - TBD, I'm thinking either from a Revell Berretta Pro Street or the re-issue of the '55 Chevy Sportsman (aka Carpenter 55) and the motor.... is going to be a "crate engine" and I'll post pics of it once "delivered"! http://public.fotki.com/DrewC2/66-cuda---hemi-unde/ Sorry - I had issues loading a single image so you can check out the fotki page....
  10. IS it too late to enter? I just finally go the gonads to bite the bullet and enter...... Come on, Im old and feeble minded! DrewC
  11. Raul, you da man! Thanks.....
  12. Very nice build Bud! Maybe you should enter it in the Drag/Dragster/Drag Car build off? DrewC
  13. Anyone have any idea as to how these looms are supposed to be put together? There are no instrucitons and I feel a little challenged.... But the build I'm doing (trying) call for these. Thanks! Pictures would be nice! DrewC
  14. Awesome build Raul - clean and simple! DrewC
  15. Nice build. Very different paint job.... Was it difficult getting through the airbrush? And how about an underside and engine shot?
  16. Thank you for serving! Twenty isn't bad as long as you enjoy it. Reserves or Active?
  17. Thanks Clayton - whooaaa! I'm a retired National Guardsmen - 20 years! Captain Infantry. Are yoou still active?
  18. Just posted new pics to Fotki... http://public.fotki.com/DrewC2/under-contstruction/ But how do I get pics in the POST? Thanks, DrewC
  19. Jason, the pics are clear, I wasn't dissin' them - don't get my questioning wrong - that was not the intent. I'm using a SONY 5.1 megapixel, Super Steady Shot..... but can't seem to focus - I'm real new at the picture taking part. Check these out.... http://public.fotki.com/DrewC2/under-contstruction/
  20. Just so I understand.... this is an on-line build, of a dragster or drag car? Pro Mod, ProStreet, Gasser... it doesn't matter? As long as it's "out of the box"? And the rules are, there aint any rules????!!!! DrewC
  21. Jason, nice job! What are you using for a camera? DrewC
  22. Come on, be real.... the engine pics you've posted are great, to me, they are right up there with the guys Gregg mentioned - who ever they are! I think for people like myself just getting back into building, we need to know the ins and outs as to material used, drill bit sizes, the detailed process itself. The engine looks awesome! Drew
  23. Incredible - absolutely, incredible. Very nice detail work! Drew C.
  24. Well, you all are the best source of comments... hopefully these can be viewed. The project is a replica of a Hot Rod in an old Street Rodder issue.... http://public.fotki.com/DrewC2/under-contstruction/ This is my first time posting pics.
  25. Wow.... incredible detail. This takes "out of the box" to a whole nother level. Any chance of some "how tos" on the engine detailig?
