  1. Oh they are very much still on. I could show you the current 3D, but then I'd have to...... well, you know the joke.
  2. No problem, actual conversation is always a good thing. I’m going to try and answer these as best I can, sorry in advance if the answer is bit gruff. I’ve put them below IN RED OldSkool81 Olivier Asks: Gotcha, I also don't want to get into politics. And it wasn't a stab at Moebius either, as I'm a BIG fan. Thanks! It’s much appreciated! I'm just trying to figure out what's going on, and that's why my original question was if U.S. people started to see pre-orders and pricing on their favorite model shops' sites, so I can compare with mine. Because we were uncertain exactly how much the tariffs were going to hit these with, we didn’t put much info out on these. Many of the shops only list something if they know what the price is, so they just didn’t. Right now, only one of my usual online shops has these listed for pre-order with price, and they are often hit-n-miss. They sometimes have the best prices around, but they can also be way out there on other occasions. That's what I'm trying to figure out; because don't get me wrong, I WILL get all 3 of these kits one way or another. Don’t panic on these. When this run sells out, there will be another run. It may take some time, but it will happen. We all can buy much faster than we can build anyway (except for Bill L.) Just trying to figure out where I'll buy them. And may I ask, still without being political, but more on a logistics standpoint, a question that I had about kits supply? Is the supply for Canada unloaded in the U.S. ports, then to be shipped up north by land, YES, very much so or do those ships unload at Canadian ports? A common mis-perception I keep seeing over and over is Canadians under-estimating just how FEW kits actually go to the Canadian market. Yes, Canadians buy a lot of kits, there just are not that many Canadians! We’re in California, and the overall population of Canada and California are a-boot the same. We’d go out of business if we expected the California market alone to carry us along. I was just curious about the difference in time for a kit to make it to shelves between the USA and Canada! On to the next one! Peter31a says: Unfortunately for us most ships with kits for domestic(U.S.) kit manufacturers unload in U.S. ports and then are shipped by land to our distributors thus they are hit with tariffs. Correct, very much so It may vary if the shipment is from a manufacturer (Tamiya, Heller, Airfix, Aoshima etc) from another part of the world. Some may come through U.S.A. or may come into our own ports. Oh Peter, you sweet, sweet dreamer! Tamiya is the only one with a production volume even close enough to try and do so, plus they’ve got the advantage of having a lot of manufacturing in the Philippines, but sadly they do not. Heller? Oh, I wish. I’ve loved Heller kits for years now, and greatly respect their history and legacy in the industry. But their production is nothing compared to their heyday of the 1970’s. Airfix is too focused on the European market (how many new tool aircraft kits have we seen in the last 5 years that the North American market has to wait for 6 months after Telford because they Bogarted the whole production run for themselves (answer – All of them)), plus the US operations is just an afterthought to them. Aoshima? Love them too, but their focus (like most smaller Japanese companies) is all about the Japan market. We get scraps (and are grateful for them!). I’m getting off my soapbox now! Luc Ponders: Odd that merchandise which go through the US in transit to another country, are taxed by the US, YES, very much so, but them’s the breaks. Brexit is causing a similar situation where US based small businesses now may need to submit tax info to the UK if they wish to sell direct. Several smaller US model companies have switched over entirely to eBay/Etsy type operations to avoid this or was that part of the NAFTA deal? Steve beat me to this part. Can-Con Steve states: NAFTA deal was replaced 5 years ago by the USMCA deal Exactly!
  3. Yea, you know we just don't have much (any) control over this? I'm not going political on this, just looking at the bucks we gotta pay to get these here. At least the 47 Chevies were from Korea, so you know, it could have been worse, eh?
  4. Well, now that the kit is here there will be spare parts available in a week or so. Maybe e-mail customerservice@moebiusmodels.com with your name and address as well as what parts you need? I'm sure you'll get a total that is much less than a full kit.
  5. These are here now. In stock at the Pegasus Hobbies web store, and soon to be showing up at all the other usual places! https://pegasushobbies.wpcomstaging.com/product/1971-ford-f-250-custom-4x4-in-stock-now/
  6. Nope. They're going to be pretty much as the Galaxie Ltd. ones were, with only a few small changes. Mostly on the legal/licensing logos & such. Too many other things in the works to find time to re-invent the wheel. I've got three more Chevies I'll be announcing shortly (none of them a C-10), four Mercurys, and half a dozen Fords (some pickups in that batch) that ALL need to get instructions, decals, and boxart put together, proofread, and rechecked again. And we're too slow already! Erik
  7. Time for more announcements. Chevies this time around. The Galaxie Ltd. tooling has all been acquired by Moebius Models, and it's finally ready to see some action. These are all being molded in Korea at the Academy facility, so will be great production quality. New decals for all three kits. No changes for the parts as the tooling was done old school style, and there's no 3D files or anything like that to work with. The one and only change we got done is the frame sprue now has a protective runner around the bumper mounts so they will be better protected in shipping. Retail price is $49.99 ea. Stock #'s are as follows 2301 is the Aerosedan 2302 is the Coupe 2303 is the Sedan Delivery We hope to have them on the market April/May. All three running at the same time.
  8. Ok, just how many versions of the early 'vair did AMT do? I know of the 60 4-door, the 61 2-door, and a 63 Convertible. I know some of these got issued as different years, but I don't think they actually made the changes (pretty minor really, mostly on the frunk). Erik
  9. Pretty good. The wood trim is optional (but I needed to make sure it fit fine (it did - both sides!))
  10. Spotlights were always there, but they are optional parts. You've got to drill a hole in the A column to fit them, and have a steady hand.....
  11. They go together quite well, but keep in mind they are older kits are were not modern CAD designed kits. The "I don't glue the bodies on my kits and only snap them over the chassis" crowd will not be happy with how the breakdown between the front fender clip and body goes, and you REALLY have to glue the main body to the floor/firewall to get them to sit properly. As much as we'd love to tweak a few tabs & fit issues, the tooling can not be modified - only run as is. The only thing we were able to get done is to have a protective runner added to one sprue around the frame so that hopefully the bumper mounts won't get broken so often (a problem with the original kits - ask me how I know......) The build up shown in the first post took me about two days to put together, but that's making notes, proofreading the instructions, and answering the continual stream of in store customers saying "Hey, they let you build models at work?!?" More to follow Erik
  12. No. No update on the cab. Different grill, and some actual quality control on the injection machines this time around!
  13. Another one getting close to completion. This kit should be coming in March/April 2025
  14. Here's the next announcement in our range. 1970 F350 Ramptruck Kit # 2588 Should be out April/May 2025 $45.99 retail
