Hopefully it’s ok to post a modified diecast. . . bought this for the wheels I’m using on another plastic model. I think you can see them in the back ground of one of the pics. Background: i’m a big fan of chopping and it drives me nuts that doesn’t seem to be anybody to chop C tens or pick ups very much so I decided what the heck. first time chopping a metal car, it’s rough and not as I’d like.

I have used DIY products but can’t cover all situations based on how these materials work. looking for custom waterslide, preferably low quantity…

Interesting comments, thanks. Just a random thing I ran into

Vinyl samples Will definitely work, but of course there's GLUING. I got a complete sample of everything they make which is of course more than they want but I was curious to see in anyway I think it's gonna be really workable and I didn't realize they made a bronze or tinted or smoked versions so that's really cool for the future also so anyway, if you'd like to see them in person we can arrange that sometime or other IMG_9559.mov

Got some shocks on front. Located down pipe for exhaust. Interior looks like it’s gonna work, have to fill at base of windshield.

Finished engine. Mocked up position and it came out as I preconceived😬 (how did THAT happen?) obviously have to cut a hole in the diamond plate bed using wheels and tires from a 60 Chevy model to go on the front, had to sleeve the inner wheels so that the resin dropped front axle I bought will fit, got me an 1/8” in width IMG_9178.mov

Another day of modeling. primed the cab and did some detail preassembly painting of the engine Sticking my neck out on this even putting stuff out here. . . cause I’m not really sure if I can pull this off so thanks for the compliment. Takin’ it slow. Some teeny BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH. Recommendation is CA or epoxy I’m thinking five minute epoxy. . . allowing some possible user alignment errors . . .

Thank you so much. Getting to the point of buying 2 of everything. . .

Thanks for the compliments. Body is mostly a Vallejo wash. Lower portion, what they call the interior I found wood I liked on the web and printed it on sticker paper and applied. Sprayed with Crystal clear as final.

Had some unexpected challenges on this one. Missing a couple parts, a wheel and the interior (had to make) found some wheels I adapted.

Use toothpicks mostly, like the needle idea👍🏻

Something I never really thought about is VOC's with CA. This is the top from a candle it's glass and my CA method is that I put a little puddle like where it shiny now near the bottom of the photograph. I put a little puddle there and then I use a toothpick or some fine pointed object to get the CA. The cloudiness that is all around the outside of that is on the outside and that is what has evaporated or whatever deposited on the outside. Freaky
