  1. Awesome project ! I just purchased the Nicki Camaro also. And I’m in need of the same hood you used. Is the only way to get it from that 67 two in one kit? I’m trying to find a resin version but I’m not able to.
  2. Awesome. Do you have any pictures of your build? And, which chassis and interior did you use for it? I’m assuming the Biscayne is closer to the Belair for the roof line?
  3. Thanks ! I didn't realize they had different rooflines. And, you mean there are resin Bel Airs available? I've never purchased a resin product before - is it as simple as using the resin body with the Revell interior and chassis ? Thanks !
  4. Hi Everyone! Im looking to build a stock 64 Bel Air (possibly from the Revell 1964 lowrider kit) Has anyone built this kit, how was it? And any advice on my conversion plans and what I may require?
  5. Cool, thanks, I'll see what i can find! There is no hobby shop near me, so ill try to order something.
  6. Hey, thanks for sharing those pics. Is that as far as you got with it? Id love to see even more pics, even if not finished. I wonder if I could glue a thin strip of styrene to the front edge of the door and sand and fill it. and make the doors a much tighter fit. not sure if they sell strips that thin though. any thoughts? thanks again for sharing !
  7. Hi everyone. I love the Revell 56 Ford pickup kit; but cant stand the unrealistic 'opening doors' it comes with. Each time Ive attempted this kit ive been disappointed. Id like to try and build it, but glue shut the doors, and somehow fill the unrealistic gaps and make 'panel lines' that are just like most kits have for the doors and trunks. Has anyone ever attempted this? How did you do it, and what were the results like? Im worried if i fill them, the lines will disappear entirely, or i will end up with 'globs' and ridges inside the panel line. My other option is seeing if i can simply find a 'cab' to use with this kit that is 3d printed with doors which are closed. so far, no luck with that though. Would love to hear everyone's thoughts on my problem above, or if you have built this pickup.
  8. Hi, thanks, i thought of that... not sure how to cut it though. just repeatedly score a line until its free?
  9. Hi Everyone, I usually build American muscle cars, so Im in new territory. Im starting this Corolla Levin kit and would like to build it like a car my mother owned. However this kit only has right hand drive. Does anyone have any experience scratch building a dash, or know how to print a new LHD dash? Would appreciate any advice/feedback/perspective.
  10. Just about to start this kit; and I haven't had any luck finding a lefthand dash - hopefully you sign back on here soon, would love to discuss !
  11. I'm also thinking of sanding off and filling the vents on the rear quarter panels. I dont believe those were on the American versions either. Or if they were, they looked a little different. Did anyone else encounter this?
  12. Gonna start this one soon, but really hoping to find a left hand drive dash - and some North American door mirrors. Any advice appreciated!
  13. Hi, any mod work required to use the fireball parts? Or they fit in place easily?
  14. The way you did the sharp black trim around the windows is making me consider a white top. How did you do that trim? By hand ?
  15. Just started this kit ! Your build is inspiring! I was also thinking of spraying the wheels black, and after seeing yours, that will def be my plan.
  16. I'm not even familiar with this. Can you share more details or pics?
  17. Hi, I debated on doing that piece of trim....but overall felt like it might distract from the sort of understated look I was going for. That was my reasoning for leaving it. Also...the tail panel should be entirely silver, and I left it body color for the same reason.
  18. Well, here is the finished product. Sadly, I kind of gave up on this one after the major issues. Issues to look out for: Front body pins to chassis and radiator clearance to hood. Easily snapped one of the door handles removing from sprue (very weak/brittle) and had to poorly repair. Side wing off grille snapped. Anyway, here is the finished product, mostly box stock, except for a few mods such as a teenage owner might have made to the car in 1984 (cut off snorkel on air cleaner, paint hood flat black, traction bars, an aluminum intake manifold, and a tachometer on steering column)

    - can I ask what was your technique to replicate overspray on the undercarriage? Just freestyle by eye?

Awesome finish! Has me wanting to build one of these! The green was a perfect choice.
  21. Well, I have everything lining up now, but this has created major issues (messed up paint and overall dissatisfaction with fit and finish). My new problem is, one of the side 'wings' is broken off the grill, and I cant find one eBay and Moebius isn't emailing me back. At this point, looking forward to starting the Baja Bronco - (Revell)
  22. This is helpful though. Any fit issues with comet you can heads up me on? I already noticed ride height seems way too high
  23. Thanks ! Yes, getting those valance pins to fit meant the rad is now up way too high. Now I’m left trying to pull it apart - and that’s tricky with the fan shroud. Not impressed, I have the comet cyclone, and I hope it goes smoothly. Otherwise these moebius issues are very frustrating.
  24. Thanks ?? that’s really helpful. Seems like rad also sits too high, as it’s bumping hood up ( won’t close tightly). Did you have this issue too?
