built my 57 buick panel wagon, used a 55 chevy nomad as donor kit. made interior tub and chassis 1/2 longer. when i went to finish up and put the chassis under the body, SURPRISE! ended up being alot of cutting on top of chassis plate to get the back down for an even stance. (top of tunnel and top of shock floor) it looked like some of our cars in the 70s with the rear ready to shooting off for space. i ended up putting heavy duty springs on front to bring my 73 comino up even with the (stock air shocks raised for my 60s) rear, i liked the just enough raise for tires and front up to even out. oh ya 57 buick, i decided slight wider tire all around black walls on this one. enjoy built 5/15/25 thanx glen damodelguy

built my 51 pontiac fastback chopped, used 51 chevy fleetline for donor kit. had to do some mods here and there, frame longer. i know some use 50 olds, hear it little longer, but we use what we have if we can. built 5/11/25 thanx glen damodelguy

well i finished building another of my own castings yesterday. 49 ford ute. i did a lot to make this one happen since it was originally a fiberglass body and front of it was brittle. i also found out that i couldnt superglue fiberglass to a plastic body. ended up coating it all with smear of resin to make halfs stay together. then i put a ranger bed inside. i used the 49 for kit under it. build #621 got body 5/9/24 10.00 built 4/24/25 thanx glen damodelguy

my 41 buick body recreation, into a chopped coupe. my resin bodies involve your creativity also in finding chassis, interiors, oh and dont forget, fitting windows. i built my 41 buick with a 41 ford woody donor kit. (you my think of a different donor) chassis was lengthened 1/4 back at the rear end area of the frame. it has a second piece of the x frame so it can be used for strength. i also moved the rear back a little to sit in the skirt area a little nicer, and also to lower its stance. i also cut the front axle to move it forward a little, also to lower it. i used the kit pipes but changed the mufflers to make up the added frame lenght. used kit interior, with side panels trimed to fit. hood is solid so i put the kits motor in it. im not as much of a detail person as many are. i built for collection shelf presentation, try to get the parts in place, but not wired, tubed, or even colored up. cant be seen, and wont be judged. im about different, and helping to show you can work outside the box, BOXES i say. tidbit, fellow model buddy, tom w, suggested grinding out from back to put the grille in this body. it worked very well. thanx Tom, im building 3 of these bodies, 1 is a 3rd reconstruction not yet finished to mold yet. so i was working on 3 complete chassis at same time, for the 3 builds and thanx for lookin glen

i finished building my created body of my look, 41 ford chopped. i was trying to maintain the original roof line and back window. i chopped the A B pilars, but dropped the trunk line t about even with the rear fenders. this body i used the 48 ford kit and lowered suspension some th get tires into the wells. i also used the lovered hood from 48 and altered back corners to meet the cowl correctly. built 2/5/25 thanx

thanx guys, andy, if the rear quarters were rounded off with out a ridge to the taillight, i probably would not have seen this possible. but when i look at the pick from high on front corner, i see the roof line edge pickup the quarter ridge. we all see what we see and work toward. sometimes we drift one way or other at the y in the adventure. wrong road and its back in the box for a later look if were lucky. i had a visual of this and grab the saw. had a 49 on bench for a ute project, and nova body still from using chassis on another project, clicked, went for it and seen some of a mid 60s falcon right a way. but i always build different. not as detailed as some master modelers, its a visual for me. i make my resins for my collection. thanx for note. glen

first build for 2025 is my 51 jeepster body. this was made from my 53 jeep custom pickup. i used a 60 chevy truck chasssis i had built in parts box (altered of course), parts box seats in a 66 nova interior (also altered). tires from the mount n goat kit. parts box built motor, and boot (i had wrote 61 chevy under it}. always liked these at the car shows, finally could see one in my jeep custom truck body. created and casted jeepster 2/24/24. thanx for looking, glen built 1/22/25

thanx, and it can get very overwhelming even as i rotate thru different parts of the processes. i think 3d is going to change our hobby, but im old school and an ole doog. so ill stick with resin till its not fun anymore, along with spray cans. i like building what i like and try to get to what i see. ive kitbash and cut um up along time, these daz seems i like that part more than the building (eyes, patience, fingers have changed ) i realize my abilities (lotta years of playin with models) detail people are amazing in what they see and do, weathering, air brush, WOW! but im that visual person, not rivets, the look, flow. car shows for colors and ideas. even in my real first car, i didnt need to get there fast, just look good getting there. enjoy the building and enjoy each others. glen damodelguy -
very bizzy year, mines slightly different. i still love to build my creations, but i create my builds and cast them first. ive created 34 bodies that ive casted and listed, sold 336, and built 12 for the year. i have 40 of my creations i haven't been able to build yet. got to make time for more of that this year more often. thanx for lookin. builds are single car pics

finished up building finally another of my creations. 37 cord coupe built 10/9/24. i ended up building mine with the kit parts. was going to street rod it, and put a 36 ford chassis maybe under it with a v8. but the color, had it a rumble seat instead if closing the trunk and added a spare on the rear, felt like it needed a more stock look. thanx for looking, glen damodelguy

thanx guyz, was a fun build, if you wanta smile, build a model. they dont always have to be outta a box, i like boxez! slice n dice can lead to bigger smilez too.

well i finally finished a build thats been close for a while, but kept sitting new ideas in front of it. finished my 53 studacuda fastback last night 10/9/24 i actually built it using the 53 studebaker kit as donor. i did have the parts from the built parts cuda, so i used the windows and motor from it. thanx for looking, glen damodelguy
-
finished up my 58 edsel rancharo custom. 9/15/24 amt edsel kit was my donor, with alterations. had to shorten frame and chassis, side interior panels cut shorter little and cut lenght to fit. make your own windows. i did try a rancharo chassis, and it my work better, but i was trying to use the edsel parts since it was my donor kit. if it wasnt a challenge, it wouldnt be in resin. good luck. thanx for looking
-
so i started with the 34 panel and cut it, and added a 34 ford bed and 34 ford sedan fenders, once created, mold and cast and built mine with parts from a parts car 33 willys coupe kit. was gonna build with 34 ford coupe kit, but decided to build gasser something like one i seen at gnrs. thanx for lookin, glen damodelguy
-
finally got to finish building my created comino. kitbashed with a 86 chevy el comino and and one of my 51 studebaker sm window bodies. i used a built parts kit 86 chevy el comino as my donor kit for chassis, interior, motor. this built 8/28/24. glen damodelguy oh, for those that wonder how this roadrunner is pushing out pieces so quick. i have resins that i worked at interiors and chassis for them while back when i created the bodies. was up to about 27 i hadnt made time to build for awhile, and have taken about 5 weeks to just work on building. no creating, molding or casting in those 5 weeks. felt great! thanx for lookin, glen
