  1. I just did!.. They have what I need.. Thanks Graig! Yates
  2. I'm in need of finding a current Ford Crown Vic model to build a Police Car. Does anyone offer such a kit in plastic or resin? Thanks! Yates
  3. It seems to me that this auction is becoming more about who has the deeper pockets, fatter bank roll rather than actual value of the car.. Just my thoughts. Rowdy
  4. I've been wanting to buy this figure set of the Three Stooges by Polar Lights but they are all out.Does anyone know of any model sites that might still have some left? Other than ebay!.. Thanks, R.Y.
  5. Thanks for the info guys! Dave, check your email!.. Yates
  6. Does anyone know what happened or why Arii stopped making these real rubber tire and wheel sets?. They were my favorite. They only made four different wheel styles, each set on a spruce tree. Model Empire used to sell all four styles in one set package. They tell me they can't get them any more and don't know if they ever will again. Does anyone here have the scoop on Arii? Rowdy
  7. Dan,Sorry I didn't catch the decal of Arfons. No disrespect intended. Your build quickly reminded me of one of Breedlove's earlier rides. Rowdy.
  8. Nice. That has Craig Breedlove's name all over it!..
  9. Needing some R.W.B. ideas. I am working on a project for a family member and want to use a patriotic color scheme.Would any of you fine modelers be willing to share pics of your red white and blue model paint schemes?. Thanks! RowdyYates
  10. Oh Billy, one other thing.I am working on a model for a friend in Florida.I won't ship it to him until this Fall when temps drop down around 60-70 degrees. The heat in those UPS and USMail trucks during Summer are just too high for me to be shipping a finished project out. RowdyYates
  11. Billy said, "I've been told they would be fine up to 200 Degrees F. If it gets that hot, I think we have bigger problems, but it may get up to 115-120." Billy, who ever told you that must not know how hot 200 degrees is!.If you want to do a little experiment, take an old unwanted body, or better yet, take your most prized possession and put it on a cookie sheet.Set your oven for 200 degrees and slide it in when the temp is at 200.Just let is set there all day long and see what you get. Now I'm not Bill Nye "The Science Guy" or Mr. Wizard, but 200 degrees is 200 degrees whether it's in an oven or in some HOT storage building. You would most likely end up with warped bodies and chassis. I don't trust the heat and I won't even store my kits in even 90+ temps. I don't see a problem with the cold though. It can't change the shape of the bodies like high heat can. RowdyYates
  12. NICE!. You gotta be the coolest dude on this forum! Thanks for sharing the pics. They are very helpful. Can't wait for the issue of MCM on this build! Yates
  13. This is a project that I will have 15 months to build, plenty of time to do the mods. It's a birthday gift for my Father-In-Law who owned a 61' Starliner that was primer gray with Holman-Moody wheels, front bucket seats, no rear seat, racing seat belts, no carpet. You might say is was a street version of a H-M stocker. It will be a shelf build however I do want to achieve as much accurate detailing as possible. I have the 60' Starliner kit for donor and the 61 Styline kit.Time to get a few more Ford books on the 61' Starliner. Thanks again Jairus! Yates
  14. Is it possible to build a 61' Starliner using the AMT 61' Styline kit with a 60' Starliner roof and and add fins to the rear guarters, change the grill, etc?. I realize Modelhaus offers the 61' Starliner kit, but can one be scratch built?. Rowdy
  15. I have to go with Darin on this. Now I'm not a mechanic much less an expert builder of customs. I have to agree and it makes perfect sense that if you have a team consisting of 30 people and most specialize in one area, you can build a great looking car that is road worthy and safe. Foose's credentials speaks for themselves. He isn't about to put his carrier in jeopardy over a bunch of incompetently build t.v. cars. Is this particular car desirable? To some it is.I would take anything build by Foose! From the photos provided, I don't see anything wrong with it.The rough trunk could possible be from use.It was built for someone to drive on a daily basis, so I would not be so quick to critisize any questionable flaws. Just my 2 pennies worth. RowdyYates
  16. That's something you don't see anymore.Photos of real people on the box admiring a model. If you don't mind me asking, where and how did your friend end up with such rare kits? RowdyYates
  17. Yeah, I saw those.I may just go with one of them.. thanks, R.Y.
  18. Has AMT, Revell or any other mfgs. make a 2003 or later Chevy Tahoe? Thanks, Yates
  19. I've been wanting to build a Police car like the ones from my home town back when I was a kid.A late 60's early 70's.I have called the police station twice and even stopped by to see if anyone would help me with reference material from that period, and no one was willing to help.It was almost like I was some burden or too much trouble for "just" a model!.. I could care less now.I'll just stick with the only offical vehicle of the town that really matters to me.A early 60's ambulance that my dad drove when he was a member of the rescue squad.. RowdyYates
  20. I'm wanting to get the most brilliant green I can..Nothing to silvery or gold.Just a bright sparkly, jewel green coat.. Yates
