  1. Good morning everyone πŸ‘‹πŸ˜‰ Things progressed a bit. The chassis was glued and connected. So far, it looks good. But I still have no idea how to attach it to the wheel. But I think I'll come up with something. Best regards πŸ‘‹ Eugen S.
  2. Good morning IrishπŸ‘‹πŸ˜‰ Don't worry, I'll finish it. And thank you too, Topher, for liking my project so far. And I took a look at six_four_stout. He has some truly insane skills, a level I'm still a long way from. The project will continue. Stay tuned for more updatesπŸ˜‰ Greetings πŸ‘‹ Eugen S.
  3. Oh yeah, I also noticed that the Land Cruiser doesn't have any mirrors. Is that intentional, or are the parts missing? Otherwise, I agree with you that the park vehicle was delivered fresh from Osaka, which of course explains the RHD windshield wipers. So, it's a pre-production model anyway. πŸ˜‰πŸ‘
  4. Good morning, BillπŸ‘‹πŸ˜‰ Except for the RHD windshield wipers, this is otherwise a very successful prototype or pre-production model. Very clean and accurate. There are so many ways to customize an 80 Land Cruiser, and you pulled it off πŸ˜‰πŸ‘ My utmost respect for that. Hats off! A very successful and unique concept! Best regards πŸ‘‹ Eugen S.
  5. Sorry for my late post, dear model building friends, I was focusing on the chassis, which, like the body, naturally had to be shortened to fit. And it also affected the rear part of the chassis. This would later be connected to the front part of the chassis. I was still wondering how to solve the axle problem, since the kit's mountings wouldn't hold the wheels for much longer, so I tried to build my own axle. Whether that works will become clear later. Until then πŸ˜‰ Best regards πŸ‘‹ Eugen S.
  6. Oh that will be a pro street truck. Excellent work. Greetings Eugen S.
  7. Good morning to you three, and thank you so much πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜‰πŸ˜Ž Please forgive me for the slight delay in construction at the moment. I'm also working on a brick-and-mortar project and want to prepare for a November exhibition. But I have a few fresh updates today: More progress coming soon. Until then πŸ‘‹πŸ˜‰ Greetings πŸ‘‹ Eugen S.
  8. Good morning, Michael πŸ‘‹πŸ˜‰ I'll take a seat at your Datsun project and follow your build report. The start looks good. I'm looking forward to further progress. πŸ˜‰πŸ‘ Best regards πŸ‘‹ Eugen S.
  9. Hello everyone πŸ‘‹πŸ˜‰ Thank you both, Keith and Anton πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜‰ We've moved on a bit. The engine has already been started. More updates to follow later. See you then πŸ‘‹ Greetings πŸ‘‹ Eugen S.
  10. Hello everyone πŸ‘‹πŸ˜‰ The Typhoon is moving forward. It now has windows and the B and C pillars. It's already a little closer to the original, but a few adjustments still need to be made. It's also been given filler. It just needs sanding. More updates to follow later. Until then. Greetings πŸ‘‹πŸ˜‰ Eugen S.
  11. Good morning everyone πŸ‘‹πŸ˜‰ Welcome, Gene, to my project 🀝 It'll take a while, but I hope it will. πŸ˜‰πŸ˜Ž There's more progress on my Typhoon project. Construction of the roof has begun. Made with 0.05mm plastic sheeting. I also had to close a thin gap at the back. That was a fine filing job. It took hours and it hurt my finger a little 😒 So far, it looks like a small van, but the windows will be fixed soon, etc. The interior has also been reinforced. There's still a lot to do. See you then πŸ˜‰ Greetings πŸ‘‹ Eugen S.
  12. Good morning everyone πŸ‘‹πŸ˜‰ Welcome to my project, Anton, Greg, and Steve, and thank you for following me. πŸ˜‰ And thank you for the two beautiful photos, Steve, of the Japan-spec Typhoon. πŸ˜πŸ˜‰πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘πŸ‘ By the way, mine will also be fitted with Japanese license plates. And of course, a warm welcome to you too, Earl. I'll be very excited about your project when you start it. The Oldsmobile Bravada will look completely different again with the grille, wheels, and so on. Okay, the rims look very similar to the Syclone/Typhoon. And it's a four-door. I'll show you new updates later. See you then. Greetings πŸ‘‹ Eugen S.
  13. Hey everyone πŸ‘‹πŸ˜‰ My next update won't be long in coming. So, I'm continuing with the conversion process of the Syclone/Typhoon. A lot of trimming had to be done at the rear to match the original, and the position of the fuel cap has also changed: Here you can see how it looks on the original Typhoon: And how that looks on my model: So far, it looks like a shortened pickup truck. The roof will be added soon, etc. See you then. Greetings πŸ‘‹ Eugen S.
  14. Hello everyone πŸ‘‹πŸ˜‰ I haven't even told you what my Hilux will look like. Here are some inspirations: Best regards πŸ‘‹ Eugen S.
  15. Good morning Jeff πŸ‘‹πŸ˜‰ Thank you very muchπŸ˜ŠπŸ˜‰πŸ˜Ž Welcome to my project, and stay tuned for what's coming soon πŸ˜‰ Best regards πŸ‘‹ Eugen S.
  16. Good evening everyone πŸ‘‹πŸ˜‰ I recently received four S10 kits, or rather three of them. I bought the fourth Monogram Chevrolet S-10 myself. One of the two Waverider Chevy S-10s was already started by the previous owner but not quite finished, and it doesn't have any paint yet, which is a plus for me. I'll build that one as a Waverider, and I have something else planned for the other Waverider. But that's for the next project. But now to the current project: The renovation process begins: That doesn't quite convince me, so I'll take everything apart and strip the paint: It was a very long process, taking several hours. The fire wall was glued to the cabin: The rear outer parts of the bed have already been shortened slightly, and the fuel cap has been sawed out: More progress to follow later. See you then πŸ‘‹πŸ˜‰ Best regards πŸ‘‹ Eugen S.
  17. Good evening to you both, Rick and Keith πŸ‘‹πŸ˜‰ Thank you for joining me on my project, and thanks for the pictures, Keith πŸ˜‰πŸ˜Ž That's a great toy for the road, it really gave me a lot of power. Oh yes, the Marlboro Syclone also looks very nice in that red with the decals 😍 Revell also included the Marlboro decals so I could build this version. However, I'll have to saw off some of the roof and the pickup cover as well. I recently got a second Syclone kit from the first edition. I also found another version of the Syclone here, which I'm planning to use for my next project: Best regards πŸ‘‹ Eugen S.
  18. Good morning everyone πŸ‘‹πŸ˜‰ Please don't be surprised, but I've already built the Syclone in Candy Lime Green with flame decals and gold rims. However, I wasn't entirely satisfied with it in the end, so I took it apart again and sanded off the old paint. This is what my Syclone looked like before: Afterwards, it looked like this, with Fujimi wheels for customization: Primed and painted black: More updates later. Best regards πŸ‘‹ Eugen S.
  19. Good morning Dan, and welcome to my GMC Typhoon project πŸ‘‹πŸ˜‰πŸ˜Ž Thank you very much. I'll be posting updates on the conversion project. Stay tuned for what's to come. See you then πŸ‘‹πŸ˜‰ Best regards πŸ‘‹ Eugen S.
  20. Hello everyone πŸ‘‹πŸ˜‰ In addition to my Japanese pickups, I'm posting my first American entry, which is about an SUV called the GMC Typhoon. A sports SUV from the early 90s. I've been planning to build this model for a long time and already had a suitable kit on hand: the Revell GMC Syclone, in which the chassis and body are shortened to get as close to the original as possible. Here's the kit box: And thats what it should Look like in the end: More about that later. Best regards πŸ‘‹πŸ˜‰ Eugen S.
  21. Hello Michael πŸ‘‹πŸ˜‰ Thank you for joining my project. πŸ˜‰ I'm also very excited to see what happens next. Best regards πŸ‘‹ Eugen S.
  22. Hello LukeπŸ‘‹πŸ˜‰ Thank you, my friend, and welcome πŸ‘‹πŸ˜‰πŸ˜Ž Greetings πŸ‘‹ Eugen S.
  23. Good morning everyone πŸ‘‹πŸ˜‰ In addition to the '88 Hilux, the next model building project is on the theme of mini trucks from the '80s and '90s: a 1978 Toyota Hilux RN30 Old School from Aoshima, which I'm also currently building. My second Toyota Hilux pickup. However, it will be a little different than what appears on the box. The fenders have been made narrower, and different wheels are being used. Here is the Toyota Hilux kit: Oh, before I forget, this kit originally belonged to my friend, and he started building it. However, it was more or less awful, and then he stored it in the box for a long time. Afterward, he gave it to me because he couldn't continue it himself and simply didn't have the time. Here you can see the process of shortening the fenders The process took hours. After the revisions, it looked like this. It's not quite finished yet, to be continued. These will be the newer wheels in the Hilux. The Low Rider wheels will be used for another mini truck project. Best regards πŸ‘‹πŸ˜‰ Eugen S.
  24. Hello everyone πŸ‘‹ The cabin and bed have received their paint. Now I'm going to let it dry and focus on the interior and chassis. Greetings πŸ‘‹πŸ˜‰ Eugen
  25. Greetings and good morning, Luke πŸ‘‹ Thank you for joining me on my build report. I'm also very excited to see what it will look like in the end. I'm also building a '78 Hilux RN30. The cabin and bed have been primed: Color will be in the next post. Best regards πŸ‘‹ Eugen S.
