Yay for an answer I didn’t have to ask 😂😂😂

For me, as far as the interior goes, I’ve always been a fan of keeping the “work truck” style that they used back then… so when I think of custom I try to keep that feel… which is why as a ford guy I like to think, ok… if the king ranch was made in 50s 60s 70s what would that be like? Because they actually worked trucks back, then so what would I like to have in the truck if I drove it for the truck itself not a $80,000-$100000 status symbol that the driver thinks is necessary…For old schools I like to keep them basic as possible… just my.02 the seat is the centerpoint and everything else should blend around it… I like a lot of neutral colors and splashes of colors

This is with a brush over black primer (not the included brush👎🏻) smoothed the primer to 1000 grit and reapplied a couple times then went with it… we plan to try it with airbrush soon

Noted thanks for the info… is there a specific glue to use in this application or is it just a pain in the butt either way?

I read this discussion and bought it but I haven’t gotten all the first attempt at putting chrome on, off yet lol but I did a spoon to try… I did the spoon with the included brush I give the brush a 1.2/10 but the chrome itself is great

Honestly I’m a ford truck guy so I figured my first model should be a ford truck🤷🏻♂️ then the body style is my favorite one from the “fuel injection era” as I call it lol and I’m a low rider guy at heart so the bagged and bodydropped look is what I’m going for… I guess it’s somewhat from the hip honestly… I’m just doing to it somewhat what I’d do in real life I guess… I just bought the amt 1978 f100 so I’m going to try and mimic my 1:1 truck without the dents and such 🤣 so I guess that one will have inspiration it’s lowered now too -
Post your truck mockups.

tips, tools for one handed builds
WayfromSmoke replied to rattle can man's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
The friend I model with has had strokes and has almost no use of his right hand… he has a vice and several other body holders he uses… turns out pretty good… and he had to learn to use his left hand because he’s right handed!!! Just one of his builds not perfect but great considering! -
Hey guys I’m new to modeling and building an AMT lighting. I jumped into it full force and it’s slowly moving forward I molded the rear(still cleaning up) and bought a iceman v1 frame… I’m going to do away with most of the sub chassis that the model comes with and use sheet plastic to go under the body … I also had to use the “engine cover”🤣 so the height of the intake wouldn’t be a problem i have to trim out inner fender on the front still and the suspension is just mocked up not glued…any and all advice is welcome and yes I know I’m over my head for my first project 🤣🤣
