  1. You guys aren't helping me narrow down my choices. I need less Ideas, not more. I mean, One idea since I only have 1 Frame, 1 truck and 4 tires. Unless I tear down the So-Real truck I have but it has different wheels. But if I No but.. If I, Then.. But.. No, And, Well maybe? New Coke? Old Coke? I got a headache now
  2. Guess that helps keep it well lubed too Plan B Semi with the Boggers Plan C Semi with Crawler tires. With these tires, I can find enough to finish with 2 axles and Duellies. Or keep with plan A? Or plan A.2 Ford with the Semis Sleeper?
  3. Thanks Clay, good to have ya back.. SO far it has been the easiest Conversion. Stock Big Rig chassis and axles with Mudder tires and a spare 4x4 front axle. May have to upgrade the front axle, a Ford Dana 60 may not be big enough. Thanks for the Pics Matthew, But dang is it Rustic. If I did Duallies, I'll need another set of Boggers or maybe go Super Duper Singles. You would think if the guy thought the clearance wasn't great, he would've slowed down as he went under. Guess he was in a Big Hurry, well, not no more. Thanks Michael, The bed will be 7ft wide 16ft long and the height with a crawler will be, uhmm? Well, as long has I keep the load under 14ft, I'll be good. (in theory) Firstees Glad I'm not the only one that watches it. MrZinn, If I can find a 1/24 truck I'm gonna swap it out. The 1/25 truck frame looks a little underscale under it. And it's a snap kit with a One Piece Frame, a.k.a. Major lack of details but goes together very easy. Back to planning.
  4. Right now I only have 4 tires, so far ;) The hardest part so far was figuring out if I was gonna extend the stock Frame, Use the Ford Louisville chassis(1/25), the Revell Peterbilt 359(1/25) or Find a 1/24 scale BigRig. Now to decide if I use the Big Rig cummins or the stock 460 V-8. Or................................. Just tossing an Idea out there to be the First. Firstees
  5. A cross between Revells PeterBilt 359 and Monograms F-350 It might go taller or lower and maybe add the sleeper. Right now the front axle is under the leaf springs. may swap to over the springs. I just gotta make sure I have a 16ft flatbed.
  6. Great Looking Ghia.. Paint and Engine looks great. Nice work..
  7. WOW!! That looks like a Great restoration. Looks Fantastic. Super job..

  9. Thanks, Great meeting you too Brizio. Even great to see that Over Powered Lawnmower and your truck. That was Sweeet. Thanks Guys, My first how-to
  10. That is a Cool looking Ventura. A very interesting car too. Nice job.
  11. Great Looking Duster. Even the tires look a little worn Great work.
  12. Thanks. I don't think I'd take it on a Baja run but be fun in the mud, sand and Rocks. Finding a Fujimi Jimny/Samuria kit is getting a little hard these days so your best shot is checking on-line hobby shops and other auction (cough*ebay*cough*) sites Here is a link to a How-to I just did on making the tires fit the much wider rims. My First how-to too http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=29464 Thanks for lookin..
  13. I got asked a few times on how I got my Super Swampers to balloon out on the rims and not look soo skinny. So here it is. I picked up a tube from my LHS and a Pipe Cutter from Home Depot Make sure it will fit over the wheel your using. I picked up 3 different sizes to be on the safe side and having extra stuff around isn't such a bad thing. Made a measurement just short of the Fujimi Wide wheel I was using. Then cut it. there was some trail and error. Slipped it over the wheel. and there ya go, a Super Swamper that looks it's size in width. Thanks and I hope this helps some people.
  14. What fun would a out of the box build be with out a wee bit of extra work? It all looks good from here. Nice work..
  15. Look who's a Jr Detective too (that's a good thing not a Smart A reply) Good eye, I totally missed that point but I did see the links. Sure glad I didn't follow the links now..
  16. WOW! I didn't know the wheelwells were hogged out that much. Decklid and engine compartment is looking good. I see your going with an AutoTrans. Looking great
  17. Must Revell since AMTs are just Snaps. paint looks Great. Interior looks really good. Nice work..
  18. WOW!! That is stunning. Looks like its right off the front page of the Brochure. Excellent work..
  19. Those wheels look really sharp.
  20. Yes, they are from the highroller that is listed as 1/32. I don't have a one yet but I got the Losi Mirco Crawler. and a few Kyosho Mini-Zs Guess I like to keep in the 1/24 realm.
  21. Those probably aren't prototypical to anything 1:1 They must be some where. thought ya might like to see those wheels and tires. In 1/24 they measure out to a 33x14.5/20 or for you metric people 35.5mm tall x 16mm wide x 22mm rim The tires come Glued really good to the rim so your stuck with that option. The roof rack is from a Tamiya lifted LandCruizer.
  22. Great looking Panel I guess that's a 41 Plymouth? Resin or kit bash? Nice work.
  23. Great looking SuperBee.. You did an Outstanding job replicating it. Great work..
  24. It was the first thing I thought too. Okay a little work on rebuilding a new winch bumper to fit a winch and not soo bulkie. There is some more sanding and shaping to be done but it will look good when done. The wheels and tires are from a Losi Highrider R/C 4x4 just there to be there
  25. Went to Portlands NNL Prices going up compared to last yr. hard to find any 5-10 dollar kits. Did make a few good deals Guess I don't need to worry about mail ordering these
