  2. hey i cant wait to see yours done and the ones that are going to come . The only progress i made is i have most of the interior assembled still need to put dash string colum and shifter in. Chassies is painted motor is almost done just need to fix one header pipe problem. Probably today i will finish my interior, and start the frame. Thanks for asking. Gona update my thread maybe tonight.
  3. First of all thanks for all your help. i realy apriciate it. M408 do you have pics of that truck u built? would love to see it. Would i need welding tanks also? I have decided to build the 41 truck because it has a six cylinder, matching the car. How would i replicate belts and duck tape? I have seen it in some cars but never saw it being replicated. Thanks again for all your help. I have to let you guys know the help i got here so far is more than i got on scale auto, thanks
  4. well thanks to you guys i went through my collection and guess what i found revells new 41 chevy, galaxie 46 delivery, 50 f1 . Just one question ryan mentioned that in the 50 chevy truck custom there are hop ups included. What are they. I have the 50 chevy with the beige one on the cover but thats a custom project and all that was in there was a crome air cleaner and that was it. Well now i dont know which one to build galaxie 46 delivery or 41 chevy . Thanks for all your help but now comes the question which one 46 or 41. I will keep u posted on my progress.
  5. hey thanks for reminding me. I think i will go throught my storage above my bench maybe i have the 41 after all. Thanks again i will let you know.
  6. Hey who says you have to rebuild it? just finish it and get another one and build it with a opening hood and a stright six. Much more fun. Just finish this one like you have been doin and then buy another one and put kandy paint on it and 29 model a truck kustom rims on it and the six and make it a before and after? Would be pretty coll but thats just my 2cents. Great job keep it up.
  7. thanks guys. It realy helps me. I will try it on my gasser. I have cut the grill from the tree and had right on top a small spot were it is gone. I will use the crome silver idea for that but for the other stuff i will use andys idea. Thanks again.
  8. Wolcome Dave. Glad to have u on the board. Like george mentioned sometimes we are asleep but if you have any questions just ask because there is never a stupid one. Glad to have you here.
  9. thanks for the info. Sadly i dont have the 53 like the ones you are talking about All i have right now is the 53 flipnose but thats not realy traditional sadly. Are there anyothers that would look traditional? The trailer i have taken care of. i will build a simple one just with one axel and so that the car fits on it. Would a 34 ford ruck with a chop and channel be good too. I was going to use a mpc 33 chevy van that i just bought from new york but it hasnt arrived yet. anymore that i am not thinking of right now?
  10. that is nice. Love the interior on it. For the body use gloss black and testors ruby red metal flake. Thats what i am using on my 51 gasser but thats just an idea. kepp up the good work.
  11. I know it probably has been asked 20 times but i cant find it anymore. When you cut some crome pieces of the tree there is some small spot without crome on it and it is most of the time noticeable. So how do you touch it up. I dont have bear metal foil so i can use that but is there anything i can use?
  12. that is nice. Very clean build. Some of these builds make me want to dig out the kits and built them too Good job
  13. very nice. love the rims and paint love it
  14. nice disregard the post on the other thread. didnt see this one. Very very nice. Got more pics. what are your plans for it. old school custom, rat rod?
  15. got some pics. Would love to see them.
  16. That is nicccce. I like the detailed wheels. WOW . I would love to see more pics from it. So you are not going to run a motor right or are you. Pretty nice. Keep going.
  17. For those of you who have followed my 51 gasser build its almost done and i want to have a period 50s drag team. So what would be a good tow truck for it. Doesnt have to be a truck from the 50s but any truck up to late 50s. What do you think because my mind is blank.
  18. no problem. All you do with it is break the seal and put it on. Glad i could help.
  19. i am a member there. I used to go there way more offften befor they changed it. I got up to 80 posts and then i stopped. I still go there but right now i like it better here. But i have to cut some slack to the magazine. Im a 14 year old kid and their mag has helped me out. But still their online thing is basicley junk now. oh well
  20. okay no problem. The name is glazig and spot putty. There are 4,5 0z in the tube. I used it on the 28 and coated it again today. I didnt see any shrinking. They say it will crack if you put it on to thick but it doesnt shrink after. It takes about 30 mins to dry depending on thikness. Let me know if you have any more questions. Oh and the cost is 3 20 with tax.
  21. makes me want to built mine. Great job. First one i ever see in race form. Great job!!!!!!!
  22. UPDATE Well i got most of the front suspension done. All i need to do is sand it down and paint it. I painted the interior panels. Also i got all of the other suspension parts painted. The whitewalls were painted today. Well what do you think now.
  23. progress shot to come tonight.
  24. man thats sweet. I like the idea of building it with a straight axel unlike the stock parts. Check out my 51 fleetline gasser in the hot rod section.
