  1. Sweet build. I remember that colour well, my old man had a hardtop in that colour. Tan interior, 250 six with a slush box. Looked fast, went like a slug.
  2. That is one very sweet ride, tastefully done. Many Kudos .
  3. Very nice build, cool car.
  4. Magnificent build of a true classic, takes me back too my childhood. Love it.
  5. Very cool old truck, everything about it looks just right. Well done.
  6. Outside shots Build pics here http://s112.photobucket.com/albums/n197/st...d/69_Talladega/
  7. Started this about a month ago. Mostly OOB, apart from ignition leads and lowering the front slightly too cure the nose bleed stance. Paint is Testors Mythical Maroon One Coat Lacquer, clear is Pledge One Go (Future in USA) floor polish.
  8. I paid the equivalent of $4.90 US Gallon today here in Oz, a month ago i paid almost $7.50 a gallon. And that`s cheap compared too Europe, i don`t know how they do it.
  9. They are all great builds, the sedan delivery is my pick.
  10. Finished this one Friday night, basically stock with a few mods. I modified and moulded in the bumpers as they were way over size. Lowered the suspension, and fitted a larger Turbo from a Mercedes truck. Ignition leads courtesy of TPB.com. Everything else is what was in the box. This is not one of Monograms better efforts, lots of fit issues and modifying to complete. Build pics here http://s112.photobucket.com/albums/n197/st..._GNX/?start=all
  11. Cool, another one. I built one as a factory phantom using `66 Olds convertable & `66 Elcamino. Judging by the wheels yours wont be stock . I`ll be keeping an eye on this to see how it comes out.
  12. Mark, thanks for the comments. When i first painted this, it had all the chrome trim, but i stuffed the paint job. After stripping and repaintng, i had got sick of foiling as i have done a lot lately. So i had the idea of a car that the owner could not get new trims for it, and had the old rubbish ones painted to match the black out panels on the body. Really i was being lazy and thought satin black would look better than silver paint . There are pics of the foiled body in the link i posted. Your ideas on the wheels are noted and filed away for another build, that is a sneaky tip you have for the offset, thanks. Harry, GOTCHA . I got the idea for the engine swap from a post on another forum. A comment was made that original 6 cylinder Mustangs would become collectable one day, as the the 6 is nearly always replaced with a V8. So i could not help myself. If you have seen my Jaguar 6 powered `34 coupe, you will know that i like oddball stuff. Here are some other different moters waitng to be used one day Who knows when any of these will turn up, i don`t.
  13. Finished today, about 4 week build. Monogram kit. Induction is resin from ThePartsBox.com (have found out no longer available). Wheels from AMT '71 Mustang. Rest is out of box. Paint is Testors Fiery Black laquer. Suspension lowered slightly, and i still need to make a new shock tower brace to clear the carbs. Build pics here http://s112.photobucket.com/albums/n197/st...gs/70_Boss_429/
  14. Finished this today, have been working on it for about 10 months, on and off. Revell '69 Mustang Cobra Jet kit. Resin Ford 6 engine with a scratch built Ford Australia 2V head. Resin Webbers from ThePartsBox.com. Headers made from solder. Wheels and tyres from AMT '97 Mustang Cobra. Modified Shelby GT500 bonnet. Rest is from the kit. Paint is Tamiya TS37 Lavender. Build pics here http://s112.photobucket.com/albums/n197/stevegt738/models/my_models/Ford/Mustangs/69_Mustang_custom/
  15. What a beauty, looks like it just rolled out of the show room. Very nicely done.
  16. That is an inspired engine choice, cool way to get interesting comments. You would need ear plugs with that exhaust (or lack off) though .
  17. This is so cool, really nice job of back dating. Well done.
  18. Thanks guys. Factory look was my goal, and it has more style and class than the standard El-Camino.
  19. Some build pics to show where i cut and joined the bodies. Different coloured plastic makes life easier for this . Any questions ask away. Lots more pics here http://s112.photobucket.com/albums/n197/st...IP/olds-camino/
  20. Finished this today, has taken about 12 months. Started with these Finished with this
  21. What a wild ride, i love the insane induction set up, although i would hate to keep them in tune . Top job.
  22. Just finished this today, have been working on it on and off for a while now. Originally built when these kits where first released, but after about 7 years sitting on the shelf, the axles had sagged considerably making it look like a tuner with massive negative camber front and rear. So i ripped it apart and tried a few ideas for the other unbuilt one i have. More pics here http://s112.photobucket.com/albums/n197/st...ord/50_F1_blue/
  23. That`s one mean Toyota, proper `70s stance too. The twin exhausts caught my eye, as far as i know these things had a 2.6 litre straight 6. Feel free to correct me if i`m wrong, i often am.
  24. Very nice build. Amazing what a simple modification can do to the look of a car.
  25. You did have some fun with this, unique and well done.
