Here is one of my better builds, done about five years ago. Wheels from Super Stallion Mustang, lowered and mirrors moved to the doors.

Another quicky. Built oob. Yeah i know there are no lights, but i felt they detracted from the bad boy look .

AMT kit, built out of box, apart from lowering & removal of some trim.

This is so cool, and right out of left field. Well done.

Thanks guys. The color is Tamiya Italian Red, TS8 i think. The motor is a 406 FE. It is a Thunderbird motor, which was the performance option until Ford introduced the 427 FE at the end of `63.

I built this as part of a group build on another forum, theme was gassers. While the other builders where doing light weight cars with mountain motors, i went with a weekend warrior that was still used full time on the road as everyday transport. Very nice build, fantastic color. The only thing i don`t like with these Jada kits is the over size wheels. But then i`m just an out of date old fart .

It is the ZZ Top release from the early `80s. The snap kit you are refering to has a more accurate body from what i have been told.
