  2. HI all been away from modellin scene for a few months, but after months of looking at an unfinished pete race truck, Spielbergs classic "Duel" inspierd me to do some surgery on her. Apologies to all you Pete specialists out there, I know she's only a disguised 359, but it was mainly about trying to do the paint effects properly. She still needs a few things to finish her up, and perhaps a red plymouth sedan to go with her. regards andy-b- http://www.flickr.com/photos/24420024@N04/...720382/sizes/l/

  11. looks nice. the winch cage looks fantastic!
  12. hi all the sleeper's actually a chopped up revell pete sleeper with the cutout from an italeri, though the kenworth one would have been closer to the original able body sleeper. didn't have a spare one though. push bumper should extend further downwards covering more of the front wheels, dont know whether or not to ditch the whole ertl kit part and scratchbuild the whole thing or just to mod it. anyway, the whole project is on a back burner at the moment, busy making new dumpsters for my first gear trash truck fleet. thanks for looking andy-b-
  13. looks great for someone with no knowledge of big trucks cheers andy-b-
  14. found a youtube clip the other day from the 1980 great american truck race, and, looking through my stock of kits, found i had a racetruck. she didn't look much of a racer though, more like a stock pete with a big sleeper box, so decided to strip her out similar to the GATR rigs. some more work to do yet, such as cut off bumpers, stack and sponsorship decals, but you get the idea..... have a transporter for her to ride on as well, but need some inspiration for a similar pete to pull her to race meetings. any ideas??? http://www.flickr.com/photos/24420024@N04/...57605954989040/ cheers andy

  18. thought i'd share a few more pics of the the convoy mack with you all. after fixing the sleeper in the wrong location and repairing all my errors from the previous week, i took her outside for some in progress shots, and was quite pleased with the results. unfortunately, i've only just noticed that the push bumper is way too short and should cover more of the front, and a new one will have to be scratchbuilt. for every part that seems to go on, another two seem to have to come off!!! this one just doesn't want to be built. any comments, good or bad, would be most welcome. cheers andy-b-
  19. thanks. thinking about doing a hayes cabover to go with all the macks, one of those might fit the bill andy-b-
