  1. Laurel, those look like just what I need. I'm not much on on-line ordering, so how long do you figure before they hit the LHSs in the states?
  2. Getting back to the above mentioned '56, I'll agree with Jairus and say it's way overpriced, but I'm not sure about the ugly part. I think the color scheme sucks, I don't like what they did with the windshield or the seats and it's too low for my tastes, but it still looks like a '56 Chevy and that car just ain't ugly, it's a classic.
  3. I'll digress a bit with Bill on the security issue. I once had the top cut on my '64 Monza Spider so some idiot could steal my gear shift knob. And why do people ride around in a convertible with the top down and the glass up?
  4. John, congratulations on finding both grails is such a short time and on having an understanding wife. Not many are so fortunate. I'm not trying to be nosy or anything, but I was wondering, since this is an original, will you build it eventually or just keep it as an investment.
  5. Looks like I'm going to have to find this one. I'm almost finished with their street rod and this dragster would look good sitting next to it.
  6. Sharp build Tom. You did a great job choppin' the top off. I really like the color too.
  7. Nice looking build Andy. The finish is very good. Yep, but first it would have to have dark glass all around.
  8. Thank you Charlie and Bill. I'd like to pass on the Happy Father's Day wish to all us dads and add this website. It's done by a very special lady known as Weezye and I think you all will enjoy it. http://www.weezye.net/mydad/mydad.html
  9. That's a good looking Trans Am Marc. The red makes it stand out and I hope we get to see it finished.
  10. Hey, Ben, those are both Model Master paints. The lighter color is wood and the darker is leather. I believe both are flat paints, but by not stirring either one completely I got that sheen that makes them look like leather upholstery. I like the way it turned out too and it's too bad that once the body is on, most of the interior won't be seen. The body, once I get some glitches sanded and repainted will be Testors gloss dark blue.
  11. Pat, those scallops are dead on perfect, as are the chrome wheels. Have you given any thought to baby moons with those rims? They've always gone well together.
  12. What a super clean build Marc. It looks great.
  13. Dave, that is a great looking Ford. Don't see too many 60s these days and you've really loaded up the engine compartment. Excellent work.
  14. Just signed up and thought I'd post a couple pics of the Willys I'm working on. This is going to be a strictly OOB build, so the engine won't be wired. But I have to admit, the more I look at it, the more it needs those wires. Had to get a shot of the interior before setting the body because not much of it will be visble after it's on. The colors are Model Master's wood and leather.
  15. That's quite a project you've got planned Darin. I'm looking forward to watching your progress.
  16. As always John, your work is top drawer. I've been thinking of putting together a pair of ramps to go under my '41 Willys. I've got to do something with all that angle iron left over from doing the rear deck rack for the Sheridan.
  17. Billy, the wiring looks good and so does the engine. That Nomad is going to be a sharp looking build.
  18. Hey, y'all, just signed up and thought I'd see if the signature and avatar came out all right. Also thought I'd add this picture of AMT's '64 Impala SS I finished last year. It's almost an exact duplicate of the one I drove back in the late 60s, including the chrome reversed rims and an 8 track under the dash.
