  1. Thanks Dave. Yup, opening rear is out of box. This was for a box stock buildoff over on LIL. In the future I thought about adding some subs and amps in the back. I flocked the floor, but you really can't tell in the pics.
  2. I had some fitment issues during final assembly, but not too bad of a kit.
  3. Perry's resin has an S-10 Ext. cab conversion. You'll need one of the AMT S-10's for a donor and you'll have to scratch build the grille/headlights, or get them from a diecast. The conversion kit includes the cab, frame and interior bucket and runs $35.00. Here is the link for Perry's Resin.
  4. You should always prime any part before paint.
  5. The original color is actually under the Plum Crazy. My base coat is always a basic color from a rattle can and then I airbrush a metallic over it. It helps the metallic color pop in the sun. Unfortunatly I can't always get the pics to show it.
  6. Thanks. The clear is drying as I type this, by tomorrow morning I should be able to get a couple pics.
  7. Thanks Joe. As with any of my builds, the pics suck. Pretty much all that's left is the trim then clear and final assembly. Once that's done I'll get some outside pics.
  8. Went ahead and sprayed the Plum Crazy. Turned out better than I thought.
  9. Thanks. I'm torn between leaving it that color, or spraying some Model Master Plum Crazy over it.
  10. Got the basecoat sprayed today.
  11. $850 was a REAL GOOD deal, bluebook on it at the time was around $2600. I got a 1990 Chevy Beretta a few years ago for $20. It had a few electrical problems but ALWAYS started and got me back and forth to work. I sold it for $250.
  12. I got the topper for the truck today. I got the truck back in November for $850.
  13. Not model related, but I picked up a new toy for my truck today. It's in like new condition minus a few scuffs, which is ok cuz I'm gonna be sanding it down and repainting it anyway. All glass is intact and I only paid $50 for it.
  14. I'm going against the majority and saying model.
  15. The fact that it's a highly sought after kit makes it kinda rare, BUT, "Hasn't been made for 40 years"? That's the funny part.
  16. Jackson. We've got 4 prisons here.
  17. I'm at 235. I always seem to stay between 200 and 235. I have a permanent tan. I could lay out in the sun ALL day and get burned, although it's never a bad burn just a really dark tan.
  18. I was at the park last summer with my daughter and we were tossin bread crumbs in the pond and the ducks started chasing us.
  19. I was thinkin more like the scrub tan. You know, the guy who hangs out the passenger side.
  20. Nick, it really doesn't matter where you are in the world. When it comes to autos, EVERYTHING is a double standard. While Explorers, Durangos and Blazers are considered trucks to most people, because they are built up from a truck frame with truck suspension and drivetrain. They are titled and licensed as station wagons. I swore I would NEVER own a grocery getter, but I found myself buying a Durango a few years ago.
  21. It's so cute when they say "Dada" for the first time.
  22. Thanks guys. Gary, all I do is google what I'm looking for and that's where I get my pics. I love the World Wide Web. I'm sure I'll find a few more before Eelco gets my 2 printed.
  23. I built a couple a few years ago. Didn't have any problems with them at all.
