  2. This kit was a real bear to build. The front end assy didn't want to go together well, so I built it as a curbside. I used "Tamiya" gold base, with a "Mica Red" overcoat. "Testors" Tan paint was used for the interior, along with some plain ole brown paint for the wood-like trim on the dash, door panels, and steering wheel. I mixed up some flocking for the carpet, to match the rest of the interior, and used "Pegasus" wheel and tire set for the "Street Look". Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Albert
  3. This is a 1/24th scale '41 Chevy by a die cast company called..."Welly". Welly makes some very interesting models of subjects the (plastic)Model Companies won't touch. Sometimes it's the "metal guys", who's subject matter keeps my/this hobby going. My two '41 Chevys; Stock, and modified into a street rod(?). I lowered it, used parts box wheels and tire, BMF, a little detail paint, and some flocking for the interior, and called it done. 5. With Revell's new '32 tudor kit I just got, I just might try my hand at building my 1st Street Rod model. I saw this on the way to the Long Beach (Ca.) Hi-Performance Swap Meet, and thought Hmmm, I kinda like that. Hosted on Fotki Wish me luck in trying to build a replica. Albert...Riverside, Ca.

  7. Here's my two Pontiacs. The "Plain Jane" '62 Catalina, has a rebuilt 389, 700r4 Tranny(the original "slim Jim" Roto-Hydramatic now sees duty as a lawn ornament and/or boat anchor), it needs a new interior, and tu-tone paint "Yorktown Blue" with a white top, headers, and the bumpers rechromed. My '04 Bonneville "SLE" has all the bells and whistles, and gets better gas milege. Hosted on Fotki Albert
