  1. Very Cool Dave, what are the chances of seeing them at the meeting on the 8th? ttyl Fletch
  2. quite the project you've taken on. I think we've all forgotten that until Revell issued the 1/25th scale '32 Roadster that you either had to scrounge the AMT roadster or use the Monogram full fendered version and do as you're doing. Whack the fenders and sand down the sides to come up with a hi-boy version. Great to see an ol'school build.
  3. You know a build is going in the right direction when the first words out of your mouth are WOW, based on the first pic. Great build!!!!!!!! I often wonder if the model companies can even imagine what we're going to do with their product?

    '50 Chevy COE

Impressive James, I have had a '41 COE in the works for 5 or 6 years now and have made no where near the progress you have. The engine combination looks to be a plumbing nightmare, but cool as hell sitting under that cab. Looking forward to seeing this completed.
  5. My wife and I went to visit Bob in the hospital last evening and from the way he was then we knew it wouldn't be much longer. To say that we have lost a good friend would be the understatement of the century. Bob, was one of the founding members of Scale Auto Builders Ass'n (SABA) here in Portland. He was also the driving force behind what now is known as the Portland Classic Model Car Contest which is held in conjugation with the Portland Roadster Show. Bob, hounded the producer of the Roadster Show from 1970 until they gave in and the Portland Classic started in 1972, this coming March will be the 37th year of the show. We had already decided to reinstate the Best of the Best contest at the next Portland Classic Contest. The Contest will now be a tribute to Bob. Please, keep Jan and the family in your prayers, that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ would provide the peace and comfort. Dave
