  2. Thank you so much everyone! the comments were nice to read!!! yes alot of work went into this, like the 1/4 windows with the rubber seal painted on, went all out on it. to answer a question or two 1: Yes this is a motor city resin 2: yes the johan parts fit it very well!!! like they was meant too........... The engine is out of the 1979 Ford bronco 351m400 and that is what i was looking for........ infact i just sent it ou tto be casted as i have a few project i need it for.......... Mj
  3. One i did last year, Straight six daul exhaust (like mine had) pick up topper, had two fo these wheels on mine, this was how i wanted it to look if i still had the truck........ Mj
  4. Resin body, took a few kits and bashed this with them..... came up with a 1979 351M400 motor out of the wild hoss 1979 Ford bronco kit, transmission and rear end from a 1966 ford fairlane kit.Johan 72 torino stock car kit for the chassis and chrome and stock flat hood. exhaust from 70 revell torino GT Mj
  5. One i finished recently (well sorta) waiting on some resin lock out hubs to come in the mail. took a mid to late 70's ford pickup box shortened it, cut off the taillghts from the resin box and made new side trim, chassis has been shortened and is from the model king 1979 ford pickup kit 4x4. Engine from a Ford stunt van i built almost 20 years ago, gave it some paint swapped out the oil pan and called it good. Mj
  6. On a plus side, it has decent tires............dont have to worrie about em blowing out cause there 50 years old LOL Thanks Guys!!!
  7. Plastic-kote Medium Blue rattle can.........tires from parts box they are BF Goodrich T/A's most mpc kits had them and now some amt kits carry them........ Thanks Guys! it was a fun build, still dont know why it took me over a year to finish it...........
  8. Finished, yeah!! First one this year I got over my slump finally! I am working on a rotted rod it is a 1937 Ford Panel Van....... I chopped the top 4" and weathered and pretty much rusted the whole thing, and i think it has the look i am after............... Scratch built the shelving in the back and it will have rusted out old parts................also you might be able to see the floor board is pretty rusted with alot of holes.............. and even tho the engine looks like an old boat ancker it still runs pretty well........... it needed anew starter and batt. (6-volt) fuel tank is gone as it was rusted beyound any repairs.......... neat idea i cam up with on that so you will have to wait till after i get that part done........ She will also have a new intake two strombergs as well.........(as soon as he can afford the set on craigslist) The back doors was one piece and you had to glue it in place when you was building this so i went one step farther i sepparted them to make two doors and also hinged them so they can be opened and closed.......... This wont have any glass (cause glass cost to much to have special cutted) Still aways to go yet tho........ next up will be making a set of headers for it also............just a backyard brew of grand dads old panel truck............. Oh the original tires are wheels were beyound replacing so new was found and put on............ Also added new wood floor boards in theback to help hold up the metal shelving.......this kid doesnt have alot of dough so hes doing what he can do with what he has........even if it isnt right...................LOL Dont even know if the brakes still work at this point........
  9. Finished this one off yesterday morning........ Missing one gun site for fender, and cant find my super coil.....will add at a later date Engine is from the parts but came from a built up 32 ford coupe revell. had to tear it some what down and repair then put itback togather and paint. i cut off the over drive trans and after cutting off the org trans to kit i glued it to the new engine, this way i would know everything would fit where it needed ot be.......... Also grounded out the cross over pipe and made it have true daul exhaust........ Its the one on the right, left one is a stock chassis

  17. Hey Thanks George!! I tweaked and tweaked the outer grill piece, that was the best i could do, BUT i had thought about cuting it apart and getting it to fit that way, but then decided not too.......... wished i could have saved the glass tho! Also if you build it as a hardtop, your gona need a strip int he back under the back window, looks tacky with out it, that i plan on fixing down the road...........
  18. Here she is the day i brought her home! YIKES!!!!!!!!!! But ig ot r done!! for whats it worth.........trying kit to build now as i bet it was back in '69............no show winner here but will look good inthe display cabinet.............
  19. Its Mj Finished for now.............needs a battery, and upper rad/hose............ Its not 100% perfect, and being done back in the early 70s! i am glad i was able to to do what i could with it......... Not a show contender but its perfect for the display case....... found out the the body was tweaked a tad and wouldnt sit sqaure on the chassis, so i drilled out the rad support and inside the bucket pocket, and inserted straight pins that i cut off flush. (which wont be seen) and that fitxed it for now...............OH and the glass popped lose so thats why it has a cloths pin on it will wait qa day or two before i take it back off......

I will find another some day.................... I have a coolodge (sp) i'll grab a pic of my chevelle............. never got before pics of the first one but it was light blue flat hood.............dont remember but i had a red non-fucntional cowl hood for it) ......parted the first one out a year or so later was when i found the other one.................
  24. Right.......... i to love the 71's better. just a my bad!! 0well it still looks cool either way............... the recent 72 kit has a different grill all togather..........more of a boxed sqaures............ which also threw me off................. back in the day i had two 71's! wished i still had them.............( Got one drove it for a year engine went) then got a second one, pujt a motor and trans in it down the road, then the frame cracked lower a-frame bolt mount back bolt................pretty much ended it...........
