Just about done with this project and its taken shape real well!!! I had to borrow the front 4x4 axles from another build i did last year till the new ones come in,and wanted to move along on this project... A run down on the list of parts used...(81 bronco MPC) Front engine member from 81 bronco grafted in front 4x4 axle from 81 bronco rear sub frame from 81 bronco transfercase from 81 bronco interior tub was cut and grafted the 92 front to it, and had to fill in the floor on the 81 bronco to make it flat..... engine is from 92 kit reworked the aod for the trasnfercase to work. 92 ford rearend cut to fit (narrowed it a tad) need to locate a rear bumper for it and get the decals in place under the hood and i can call it done. the back cap is alittle warped so once i get some gear in the back i will be able to glue it down..

Alittle pressed for time so i wont be able to go into details to much, just wanted to get the new pics out.....
-
Final Clear coats on,should be able to polish her some more.... The Upper wrap around over the roof i puttied in the other day and got it all smoothed out and it looks blended in well.......also the back door edge i did get back in.... Except for lookin inside and see the cut body lines you cant tell on the outside i used three different kits to get this body........
-
Well i have it painted, and wet sanded.still debating wether to add white in the middle of the body (which i am leaning torwards alot) But i did paint the lower half of the body white then painted the whole thing with red metallic........gives it a suttle tu-tone now kinda a orangish color on the bottom.....
-
I have the body in two coats of primer now, so i wil be able to check for body work needed etc..... Will also be removing the side scripts, and putting the door lines back in.
-
Turning a MPC 1981 Ridge runner Bronco into a 1992.... Have the body almost done and ready for the first coat of primer. but i am missing the axles so this may get delayed for alittle while. The black lower 1/4 panels are from a 92 short box which i cut up to fit,and had to cut in the new taillite area.........one i got everything to fit....
-
Heres a under hood shot as well as acouple inprogress shots of the chassis........ Heres a shot of the chassis works in the rear.also added frame connectors as well.
-
Just finished her up late last night..........got out door pics as well,no sun light glare on this one.........it came out so-so.....but i am still happy and will display it on the shelve with the other one.....
-
Thanks Guys!!!! really happy on how it came out! its a super kit also!! so much so i just finished another one tonight.............except this one is a drag/pro-street..........
-
Well here she is! in all its glory! Not a bad kit to build at all! pretty straight forward, with afew exceptions....as follows If your gona use the side marker decals you should remove the side marker lights from the body, and also the nova scripts...which can be detailed with a silver metallic sharpie fairly easy....... The rear shackle blocks should be used if you dont want it to sqat in the rear (which i do so i left it as it is), the sway bars are awesome and install fairly easy. INTERIOR The details here are very nice! window crank and door handles are really raised which make it easy to detail paint....Choice of two shifters one with out consule one with and the one with includes the decals for the gauages which really add to the interior, and also the instrument panel has your choice of two decals, drag gauages or stock.......and once trimmed they fit very nicely. BODY really nothing bad here exept for maybe the grill fits really tight and it does lsightly bow out int he center, and the hood latch or trim on the front edge of the hood (you have to add this piece) catches the hood latch, trimming needs to be done in order for it to fit........... taillites and back up lites are small and should be carefull not to drop them into never never land cause you wont be able to find them........ ENGINE I did the plug wires and added a MSD box from the amt 1970 1/2 Baldwin motion car,and used the headers and hooked the street exhaust up to them........ OVERALL It replicates a very nice copy of the real deal( in my eyes that is) on to the pics!!
-
She has a tight fit with slipping the interior pan and chassis once completed..into the body.....just have to tweak it a tad to slip them in........only other thing is the grill doesnt wanna fit in there right and has a slight bow to it, it has poped the front bumper out a tad will fix tomorrow.............. One more thing, if your using the side maker or scripts remove them from the body first.....other wise they are a PIA to put on.........never did the scripts i did them with a silver sharpie......... Good luck and post inprogress shots.....

Thanks Jones! really happy with it! not bad for athree day build!!
-

Thanks Guys! shes a awesome color for sure!!! i used plastic-kote grey primer, light dusting of dupli color bumper chrome and dulicolor Orange mist rattle can.... The slotted mags came from older issue of the johan comet kit.....
-
Color is Dupli-color orange mist! Parts Box tires and wheels.......added a MSD box to the firewall and pretty much everything on tbhe chassis has been detail painted....... Engine is wired and also added a fuel line from the pump.Hooked up the street exhaust to the cool headers!!

Finished!! waaahoooooooooooooo The 1/64th scale camaro is a 1975 body style but i stil liked the color scheme, thats also the add that came with the 1/64th

Sorry Scott, Its an old MPC kit that was a builder that some one stripped, im just going from there.....was real decent
-
Got some decals in today! Waaahoooooooooooooo till i went to use them,as soon as the paper got wet they started to lift off in pieces and poof! they was gone man i was so ticked off! So i went a different way! using Auto Pinstripping i cut out thin strips and put it on that way, once they was in place i hit them with alittle future to seal them in so they dont lift..... Water sanded the body early today and was gona reclear it but decided i didnt have too. so i grabbed the wax and went to town!! and also got the trim done and sealed in with future as well........

Heres a shot of the guys workin on the engine and checkin tire clearance... HOws that for a fresh rebuilt engine! LOL And heres a shot of the chassis! Still some touch up painting to down here eh! Thats it so far! Oh waiting on some decals as well for it..........in the meantime i need to water sand the body and get it ready for the decals....
