  6. Basic box stock build With the exception of a hemi under the hood This was the last thing i finished before the move 4 months ago, I have one more to build but havent decided, maybe white with the red decals for it............

  8. Thanks ViperDave! I missed some details on the build that i do now LOL. like paint the inside of the C-pillers.............. And you are so Correct!!! it is much easyer to sand the body and not the piller itself,Altho i have replaced many broken C-pillers tho......
  9. Thanks Bill!!! I also did a Mach1 69 Mustang Coupe ( LOL) Using one of the re-issued 69 Mach one fast back, and used the roof from one of the re-issued 69 merc. cougars.....
  10. Not to much to add here, the pictures should tell all LOL something i got awhile back and using the re-issue AWB Falcon (roof) i was able to make a hard top 65 falcon...... heres a before I took the complete roof off the AWB Falcon including the vent posts and A-pillers and part of the tulip panel in back below glass Primer shot after i got done wet sanding it After mixing up some red paint ( Hot red i think it was called) i got from a friend Came from body shop around his place.....sorry bad color to get a picture of inside Once i got this done i knew a friend wanted it and that is why i did it to get an Org 65 falcon Convt' back
  11. this wasnt as bad as the 68 Impala Conv't but i thought i would try some new things out. first up was repairing the cowl vent area With the glass being glued in to well to the body (reason i had to replace the cowling) i also had to repair the chrome molding around the back glass Heres a shot in primer now ready for paint Needless to say it wasnt mine to keep And heres the color Dupli-color driftwood Another view
  12. Did this one on a whem (and to see if i could do it....... i used the re-issue AMT 1973 Mach 1 mustang and the 1973 Merc cougar (for the roof and interior tub and chassis (basiclly everything but the lower part of the body LOL) heres a during Heres another view Seeings how i bought 5 of the re-issue kits for the one stock wheel in each one i made a set of wheels using my eletric 3/8's drill)before i got my mini lathe.heres a shot of the stock wheels Heres a shot with the mags on it (car is done except for aircleaner and still didnt get another set of wheels done cause i couldnt decide LOL)
  13. TOM THAT gets my vote!!! i love that color combo!!!!! i have used it on a few as well........... and it being a drop top! OH YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. THANK YOU Pat!!! i couldnt get enough of them rebuilders!!! i was sooooo hooked!!! then after while it got boring BUT!!! i take it in moderation now............. I would still buy new kits but just couldnt get to them........
  15. Thanks Guys!!!! thats what i have been doing the last 4 years and got really good at it,then 6 months ago i was burnt out and really didnt wanna do it any more,i dont wanna stick my foot in my mouth but everything i worked on came out pretty good then there was apoint i could fix them in my head just by lookin at them.........thats when i got burnt out...... BUT! thank you for the comments!! and John! Way to go!!!!! thats also a very nice blue!!!! fits it well!!!! if i can get Fotki to bare with me i have a few more i wanted to show you all........... and with that being said i am almost ready to start the thrashing again on plastic and resin
  16. Talk about your Org. issue kit that was in need of the trash can....... BUT i couldnt Throw it out! i said lets fix it!! heres the pictures so you can follow along heres a before Picture Time consuming but i was able to fill and file the gaps so they all lined up to what you see here Heres the start of the work on the interior tub opening that was the man problem with the kit when it was built,After carfefull trimming of the passenger side interior tub i was able to save the top of the door and vent posts which were broken and stuck the to interior tub After alot of work and sanding the sanding still goes on,mixed up some two part putty and let it flow into the cracks etc.heres how it looks after it was cured Comparing the interior tub opening with an Org 1967 Impala Conv't on the right And here it is in color! may not be 100% perfect but looks 100 times better then the before...........color i shot thru my Airbrush (Paasche VL) color is Kiln red Thanks for following along and hope i got everyone up to speed, and sorry for the poeple that may have seen this before............... i have quite a few of these restoration nitemares............More to come later.................
  17. This i picked up in a trade many years ago..........and this is how i got it and after a quick restore this was how it looked for a few years, then was traded off Well luck would have it i recieved it back and started the restoration only to make it better because of the time line this was first restored i learned many new skills and improved alot so i attempted to try it again only to do it right this time. And after modifying a resin up top it will be a Convertible with the top up for those rainy or cold winters. Also how it looks as of now
  18. Thanks Bill!!! some of those arent my builds and afew arent even restored yet LOL but rather then lose them in the storage room i had thought i better put them down here were they are safer Mj
  19. Slowly but surely i am gettin there.......sort of a skelton work right now,but hope to have it ironed out very soon!!! ENJOY! Mj-Styro!
  20. I hope so soon!!! but i dont wanna rush the color you know........deep gloss black sounds about right wouldnt ya say?? soon asi get some other things done i may start to paint it in the next couple weeks or so......... THANKS!
  21. Resin body from Drag City Casting..... The master was the 60 starliner so the use of the 60 starliner to build from makes everything fit great!! How ya been Bill? been awhile.anything new on the bench?
  22. Sorry i read everywhere and couldnt find a picture count per-post so i am guessing 3 or 4 max......... Heres acouple more views of the Street Machine Wagon Shot of the front axle made from a piece of sqaure Alum stock, the ends were drilled out and a plastic rod was inserted then drilled all the way thru and i am using the stock 60 starliner spindles....(right now i have a piece of copper wire holding it togather to i am ready to add the pins.... Heres an overall and i think i have the stance perfect (the way i was hoping it would turn out)
  23. seeing if i got it right now.....
  24. Hi guys! found my way over here awhile ago........ Finally after a 3 month wait i got the build shop up and ready to build again and started on the last project i packed up for the move..... Started the door jambs and threshold and it looks like it is coming along pretty well......... Before the move........... and now Also started the exhaust (using Alum rod i bent it whole and stuck the chrome mufflers out of the re-issue kit of the 69 Galaxie-Will paint them red when ready)
