Polished it out the best i could.......added some detail paint, and added some wheels......... -
Made up some deep dish wheels for this build and also made up another set of big-N-Little Tires......... Tires are out of the D-50 Dodge pickup kit and they give you all four tires that are wide! So i narrowed a set for this build......... I used the mini lathe for this and for cutting the outer ring off the stock mopar wheel and cut a deeper outer ring off another set of wheels.... The one wheel on the right is the stock wheel, The wheel on the left is the one i made deeper Stock Kit tire on the right and the one i narrowed is on the left

Picked this up last night from a friend........... He did the shortening of the bed and the tu-tone paint scheme which doesnt look to bad! maybe just a polish will help it........ He had Org got this from me last year on a trade for something along the way,and had converted it to a short bed............ well some where along his way of the build he lost steam and wanted to part with it.........so i said sure! I'll take her back.......

Cant really remember when i started this one but wanna say 2001 or 2002. Decided i need to get it going as its been awhile and would like to see it finished soon! LOL one of them long term projects and as my skills improve i like to go back to old projects that have gone aray.........(LOL) i think the bondo is dry considering how long its been LOL! and look no rust! thats aplus! LOL............. One of those body projects in the begining that i didnt know to much about but went ahead and tried........I moved the wheel well forward to the stock location (had one in the driveway i took some measurements) Then started to wing it! with super glue and bondo till were i am now....... Hope you enjoy! as i really wanted to share this one seeings how they will be out soon.......... Here's the driver side and i think its coming along pretty good Here's another angle This side i did get done some years ago LOL!!! so i gave it a polish once everything is dry it will be primer time! I even did the inside of the bed correctly.....................LOL the wheels are from the wild hoss Bronco kit! that have been detail painted, and parts box tire's! (but i am thinking of changing them as they look to small.....................

Hey Guys! whats up!! busy week or two here............. I finally started the restoration work on the Org issue 62 Impala Conv't last night and i can say i am pleased with it so far........ Once i looked the body over very carefully i then decided on how i was gona go about it,but did notice that the cowl area was gona need to be re-placed mainly because i wanted to keep the glass and interior tub tab's in place and the old one being a glue bomb i opt'ed for cuting it out....... The donor body was double checked and decided it would be to much to restore it.......... Awhile back i did a rear section replace and decided thats the way i wanna go with this one as well (the lower Q/panels were in nice shape on the Org body to start with) and the other would take some work and this way i could keep the lower rocker trim intack.......... Hard to see in the pictures but the rear deck vent was also wasted on the body i wanted to fix....... Body on the left is the donor As you can see it has a good platform, also notice the putty work on the tulip panel area and why i am replacing the rear deck vent. Lotta glue here! LOL new cowl vent installed,i used proweld and some scrap buggers (melted fine pieces of plastic from cutting) then molded it into the crack and then sorta smoothed out........... Rear section is almost in place just some minor trim and fit.........and its lookin good!!!!
