  2. Heres acouple more! the hood was so bad! i decided to go ahead and use the scoop! saved me alot of trouble there and putty!
  3. started this one couple nights ago...... Heres acouple mock up pics! then things went from mild to wild! in a matter of one day! LOL Botched the grey paint pretty bad! bad enough i had to wet sand it out with 3200! then re-shot it and cleared it
  4. May come as a shocker but i had a 1:1 that was awesome! and was starting to make a scale replica of it,and well didnt know how else to pull it off.........I have some ideas! just never really sat down and tried any out! But heres my old 1:1 (no longer have tho i parted it out instead! PA law was tuff!! Maybe it will help ya decide! Heres the scale model i started to build,Started out as a perry resin 1981,and after picking up a 82 Elcamino kit i grafted the front clip on it to make a '82 model.......

  9. Just took some final pics! and i can call it done now!!!!!!!! picked up a new taillite panel yesterday while at NNL East and got it put on.... Also took her back apart and replaced with the orginal interior tub! looks much better!!!(the 69 cougar tub just wasnt cutting it and i didnt wanna change the chassis over to the 69. Scratch built the exhaust tips trying to replicate some i seen on a car on ebay that was also a 70 cougar but i think they are to narrow compared to what i seen.............but i still like them.......... Thanks for lookin! next post will have the convertible in the pics with this as well......

  14. After a coat of clear and another mock up! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. And now the color is on!! Quite the trick to say the least! didnt have much yellow left and was the wrong color anyway! I grabbed acouple other cans of paint and mixed my own! then air brushed on! ( I couldnt wait any more i needed to get the yellow on it! LOL)
  16. Have it finally in the mock up stage as of yesterday! The front suspension i removed from the chassis and added a spacer block to raise the upper A-frame alittle so the stance will be alot better! then the other one i did. Using the 69 merc cougar for the interior tub! and save the Convertible inter tub for another drop top down the road some day....... raised the rear end up some too but cutting off the little stub and adding plastic stock alittle longer, put jack stand under rear and kept raising it till i got the desired ride height........ Also drilled out for the rear spoiler,And drilled out the side mirriors and pinned them so install with be faster and easyer. Boss 302 out of '69 Cougar kit
  17. After some body work tonight i think it will pass and be able to move onto the next step.. I have been gathering parts tonight as well and trying to come up with a plateform for this build..(here's the list of parts) 1. 1969 Merc cougar for complete interior tub, mainly because the front bucket seats are wider and bigger then the Org kit had.and the dash is so close it will work.....dash doesnt have Factory Air Outlets etc.....but it is otherwise the same as the 70. No center consule so i can but a 4spd shifter in. 2.Boss 302 engine with 4spd from 1969 Cougar 3.Still seeing what i can come up with for wheels....have tried so many i dont know which way to go yet....... 4.Chassis will be out of the 1973 Cougar kit Mainly cause its the same thing (LOL) 5. Decided to leave the rear spoiler off and the front Valance spoiler off as well (gona make it a sleeper LOL) 6. Still gona use the yellow color as soon as i can get some from MCW or HOK etc.
  18. Afew minor problems! but should be an easy fix!! Thinkin Yellow with magnum 500's... Tire burn marks in the body two spots should be an easy fix tho!
