  1. For most of the parts needed I would start with a Monogram Tbird pro stock kit and the red Monogram Cobra kit sine they are the same scale. Would probably need to adjust the wheelbase to fit the Mustang body. Good luck .........

I completely understand the intensity part of a rare kit. My skills aren't expert and I'm trying to create a pro stock mustang. With all that said there has to be somewhat of a budget or just take awhile to put the dream together and build other kits while putting all the groundwork into creating the mustang.

Thanks for all your help Brian. I'm starting to get the idea that scale model building as a hobby is a lot like building a real car!

Which pro stock Mustang are you trying to make?

I'm trying to recreate a pro stock car. I was considering the 429. My only question to it though... Trying to build it as accurately as possible. Did Jack Roush use the 429 platform and stroke it to 577 cubic inches? Been trying to research how the 577 is built. Thanks for the heads up!

Are you going for a mountain motor pro stock car like back in the IHRA days? I think visually the 500 ci  (429) would be the same?

There's at least eight editions.  I've found the found all the one colored ones shown at WM.  The ones with the cap are harder to find.

Warning....do not drop them.  I had a black one and dropped it (still in the packaging) and the outer panel of the drivers side rear fender shot off.

Interesting, and I thought that the ones without the cap were just missing.
